Hows this for a recruiting pitch

"hey kid, you wanna play for OSU???

play for OSU for 1 year and we can help you to at least a 3rd round pick."

the only reason i thought of this is cuz someone said the name "Ernest Shazor" and it got me thinking...he went to scUM for 3 years (and and All American) and didnt get drafted, MC went to OSU for 1 year and got drafted.

i dont know if you can call that ironic, but it would seem to make the decision between michigan and Ohio State a whole lot easier for a kid.

</pre>Ohio State has produced 30 draft picks to Michigan's 17. 1st round draft picks are currently even at 1:1.

These stats are going to be seriously skewed following the 2006 draft. OSU will probably hold a lead by a margin of greater than 2:1 in head-to-head draft comparisons. Mel Kiper Jr currently lists Hawk, Carpenter, and Mangold as first round picks, which doesn't even account for Santonio (Kiper doesn't rate juniors on his 'big board').
