JabriLLL "Ghost" Peppers (New England Patriots)

how can people continue to doubt Urban when it comes to recruiting is insane...recruiting is a marathon, not a sprint...put down the bottle, turn the car off and open the garage door...everything will be ok

Agreed. Everything is subject to change. Heck, we got almost a whole year left until national signing day.

Even if we don't get Peppers, Urban will rack up a talented '14 class. I bet my life on it.

yep, long ways to go until NSD and Urban will get his share of talent.

I'm a Michigan fan and I know this. Urban is a recruiting machine, and quite frankly with the DB class last year of Apple, Burrows, Bell, Thompson, and Conley and with Damon Webb committed in 2014, Peppers isn't that big of a need for OSU.

Darn smartphone auto correct lol
But Leroy, even though peppers grew up a scum fan, I still think he makes an intelligent decision. Scum isn't going to put the same caliber of product on the field as osu.

I was looking to for more info on why he transferred (seems like an interesting story but I could not find much other than speculation), came across this interview.

Interesting kid, that's for sure.

Scout $ - Does 5-star Peppers Have a Leader?

4/15

By Dohn.....Jabrill's head coach says Michigan & Stanford lead, with Ohio State & LSU still in the mix. Likes the intensity & facilities at Ohio State & has a good relationship with Coach Coombs. Says Michigan will definitely get an official & he's evaluating who will get the others.

Peppers grew up a UM fan. Nothing we can do about that. Eli Apple grew up a huge Buckeye fan. Nothing anyone couldve done wouldve kept him out of Columbus. Good for them but we're in on a number of top 100 players.

Exactly. It wouldn't have mattered to me if Hoke was coaching OSU and Urban or Tressel was at Michigan. I would have chose OSU over Michigan because I grew up as a huge fan. I don't know the extent of Jabrill's UM fandom, but sometimes recruiting isn't a winnable battle.

he is not a fan to that extent, only a minor factor in his recruitment.

Via Rivals.com, Peppers states about his Apr. 3 visit to Ann Arbor, ?I loved it. It was a great, great first impression. I grew up a Michigan fan so that certainly helps the cause. I had a lot of fun. It was more than what I expected. I had good expectations for the visit but they definitely exceeded them.?

Growing up in NJ, there's really not a major player in the college football arena to attach yourself to that I can think of. I get what you're saying, that perhaps he wasn't a "die-hard," but UM was probably his favorite team growing up which is huge.

The longer this drags out, the better off OSU is imo. Another stellar season and a *likely down season for scUM helps our cause. Not saying it will be enough to tip the scales, but it would certainly help.

I actually agree with this, except for the likely down season part. UM's schedule is exactly a murderer's row.
