Jersey / Uniform Discussion (OSU)

LOL. Perhaps if you saw the post to which I replied you would understand. Or maybe you could read his previous post regarding a previous comment of mine.

Who are you?

Here's an idea: when responding directly to someone try quoting them. See how much easier it is to follow? :ohbrother:

I can't believe how resistant to change people are. Come into the 21st Century. Why don't you ? If we had it your way we'd still be wearing leather helmets with no face mask.

Ridiculous. Equipment changes made for player safety are embraced by nearly all. Aesthetic changes are another matter. I happen to think watching the Buckeyes wear black uniforms today is like suffering through the Stones' trend-driven disco album Some Girls.

Just because some of us think it's silly for Ohio State to do what 500 high schools and several college football teams starving for attention have done - wear all black uniforms, like it's soooooo original - doesn't mean we're resistant to change. Some people lost their minds when JT got rid of the grey stripes on the sleeves - I wasn't one of them. All he did was replicate the 1980s jerseys. He didn't produce a uniform that looked like another school, nor did he jump in on the tail end of a fad.

Ohio State leads. It doesn't follow. At least it didn't until last weekend. Thanks, Nike.

Talking to caricatures sure beats engaging actual humans and addressing their words directly. But just for fun, I'll give your canned response a reply it doesn't deserve.

I'm not against black jerseys. I'm against stupid ones that look exactly like Louisville's black alternates and almost like 500 other schools. It's lazy branding and looks like one of those magazine ads where they can't afford to use the nfl team logo so the sponsored player wears a generic Russell uniform that is somewhat reminiscent of his usual uniform.
