Jersey / Uniform Discussion (OSU)

It's a picture Shaun Wade's father, Randy Wade, took while at tOSU yesterday.

I initially thought it was a soccer jersey to be honest...

It beats the heck out of most of their alternates and it's true to the design. The only thing I wonder is whether they try to mimic the helmets at all. I've always thought it would be fun (in a game they could never lose against directional michigan University) to trot out the old school facemasks, neck rolls and other items.
Oh why bother? Phil Knight is going to extract his pound of flesh each season. Will the helmets be brown and have seams painted on them? Anyone who laughed at this:

Can now join me in a moment of regret.
One actually looks like a vintage uniform.

The other looks like a wannabe us football apparel company trying too hard in an already gimmicky realm of alternate uniforms.

So they "sorta" copied an older uniform. The out-sized M was BS. I think I'd like the proposed OSU uni better if they had gone with a small number near the left breast (to meet the NCAA number requirement), long sleeves and khaki pants. Again, I don't understand why the NFL can go with an accurate "throwback" while colleges put up with half-ass "kinda like" throwbacks.
