Jordan McNair (OL Maryland Terrapins, R.I.P.)

Terps are currently killing it on the recruiting front & they're expected to land several more big fish. Will be curious to see how this plays out if they don't fare too well on the football field this fall...

I don't see this as killing it, since they're getting in state recruits who the staff would've been after anyway and probably have gotten. Killing it is if they can get some big fish OOS. Maryland is doing what they've always done. And they'll pull a Maryland on the field in the fall too. Lol! They'll probably keep most of the in state prospects, no matter the ranking and preach the stay home and be great blah blah blah

Just wait & see...Doesn't hurt that Maryland is loaded with talent this year.

Alright, fair enough. But aren't they always loaded with talent?
They've been producing some good ones of late, but this year especially.

New staff, new blood, new horizons!? We'll see, but Durkin is at least appealing new optimism to recruits & they're buying it. Dangerous territory if they tank on the field though & their recruits become poaching grounds.

@pnuts34 I should probably rephrase the 'Killing it' part, but they're starting to piece together a quality class for Maryland standards.

As we saw last year though, their class can implode in an instant though when bigger schools start plucking their guys.

A lot is going to hinge on how well they do or don't do this season IMO.

I hear you, and wasn't trying to seem like I was attacking. But I have family and friends in MD who swear every year is their year when they get a few 4star MD prospects. MD usually has a good amount of talent that stays home and goes to UMD, even when they were pretty bad. I hear what you're saying about the new coach thing, and we see that with every new coach hire. But it just seems like the same old Maryland. Even with the mass exodus last year, they still got 3 high end 4stars and 4 kids from MD powerhouse Dematha HS.
But only time will tell if Durkin actually makes them respectable

Totally agree. Kind of ironic how many years this trend has been set too. You know PSU will be lurking for their top guys as always. Durkin is a pretty sound defensive mind & there's no way he could be as bad as Edsall...
