KY RB Damien Harris (Alabama Verbal)

He shouldn't go to UK. If he goes there he will be their only special player and they will work him into the ground. Running backs only have so many carries in them. He should come to Columbus, put up huge numbers but also save his body a little bit by sharing carries with other special players, and enter the draft with max value in 2018.

You're speaking like an OSU fan, and I can't blame you. But honestly, some of the best RBs in the NFL rushed the ball a lot in college. Running the ball a lot in college and gaining yards gets you drafted higher, not sitting on the bench. He can play for multiple years and be the main weapon, or play in a rotation and possibly have to sit and watch and have less time to play on the field. He can enter the draft with max value from either scenario, but if most kids have to choose, they want to play. I believe he chooses OSU in the end, but it's crazy for fans to keep thinking that the top RB in the nation wants to sit and watch, he expects to play. And he wants to be in a position to play in the NFL. I think the OSU coaches can put him in a better position to play in the NFL than UK coaches.

That would be my honest advice to him. If he didn't want to go to tOSU for whatever reason I would say he should go to a school like Alabama before a school like UK. Running backs have a shorter shelf life than any other position. You don't need to pile up a ton of carries in college, especially if you are at a high profile college. The NFL will find you if you can play.

And I'm assuming he will be good enough to play as a freshman. I'm not saying come to tOSU to sit on the bench. He would play next year assuming he's as good as he looks like he is. He just doesn't need to play every down.

RB is a position where you only need one good year of college to get to the NFL. At UK yes he will start day 1 and then start for 35 more games and go to the NFL. At OSU he will likely have to fight for garbage time for a year or two and then he will start 14-15 games and have a 1000 yard year. The question is will he improve more by being the clear #1 from day one and starting more games and getting more carries as he will have less of a passing game or will he improve more by learning from a better coach and trying to compete with and beat out other elite players while learning from them for 3 years? Some players get more out of game time experience. Some get more out of competition. Either way he will probably end up in the NFL. Plus throw in the fact that Stoops won't be there very long. This could be his last season and I if not then next year will be it for him.

the whole took in his 9th game sort of speaks volumes. I would not be surprised to see DH go to UK but I hope I'm wrong.

I personally believe UK is the leader and location might cost OSU. Columbus of course is not far but he's very close with his mom and I'm sure he will want things to be easy for her.

People around him say he hasn't had that moment where he's said "I finally have the right feeling, this is where I'm going." He says he will know when it all hits him. Would love to see him in Cbus but not putting all my eggs on it.
