KY RB Damien Harris (Alabama Verbal)

Went from a very big recruit to a.......very VERY big recruit. People wanted both Damien and Scott but with the expected size of the class, one was always probably more likely. I personally had Scott as 1a and Harris as 1b and Weber as a very sold 3. Hopefully we can lock up Harris soon though.

You had scott as more talented then Harris or that's the order you thought they would commit? Because talent wise Harris is on another level then Scott IMO.
I personally had Scott over Harris. Part of it is the fact that Kentucky skill level scares me a little but, but then also Scott runs so nasty and I think we need that more than an all around guy based off of what we've brought in the past few classes. But really both are great, would be thrilled to have Harris.

I agree with the bad KY talent level, but Harris has shown over numerous camps thats he's on A very elite level and has a blend of power AND speed that Scott doesn't have. Scott is perfect for Sparty. Hope we can also land Weber too now

My sentiments completely. Scott is a good player but I have Harris substantially higher (better speed by leaps and bounds, considerably better change of direction, better quickness, more ability to contribute in the passing game, and pad level is essentially a wash). Scott fits in very well at MSU and Harris fits great here. Plus you have to factor in that he was once committed to scUM

It is weird but when I first followed Scott this recruiting season I too thought wow for some reason this kid screams MSU. Very solid talent but really not that next level type of talent.
I would have taken either, but needed one. Harris because he has the slight edge athletically. With the size of the class, eze, ball, an Dunn all sophomores ( I think) and hill in 2016, we really only have room for one rb. Plus with the family support eze might stay and get a degree even though I had him pegged as talented enough to leave early.

from what I've read, Harris spent a lot of time with buckeye recruits at the Opening, and Weber hung around with Michigan recruits. I think we end up splitting them in the end.
