In the words of my boys nappy roots from wku.... "oh naw heii naw man yall done up and done it, oh naw heii naw boy yall done up and done it, oh naw heii naw man yall done up and done it, yall done up and done, man yall done up and done it!"

The trip this past weekend was awesome..I've been trying to find the way to express my pleasure in a few words but its impossible..It was a blast. Everything I would like for my nephew to experience, live, and acheive O-state had. It was a blast. Had a ton of fun. Im not even going to try and break it down into details, i would take a whole page and a half. From the campus to the people (the tailgate with susan was great, the best pork BBQ ive ever tasted. no joke. Even Brett liked it..and yeah I had about 3 or 9 one of those numbers :) ) and the coaches, faculties, Tressel, Gene Smith, the ladies, and let me not forget the arena district (ohhhhhhhhhh myyy). I cant wait until the USC week. I think LJ has made his mind up already, its a wrap i think. I hope its O-state though. They have my vote but Im not the one choosing. Did i mentioned i loved it! ...And one time for my former teammate Mayo Makinde who's in politics in Columbus and who was the designated driver lol. he hung out with me and I had to show him a good time in his own town. But let me quit b/c i could go on for a while. I'll answer any questions someone might have.

FSU fans are funny, they act more and more like UM fans now. O-state is clear and above FSU right now as far as who has the better complete program.

Glad you enjoyed the trip. Did Lamarcus gave you any hints as to where he might end up?

You went to WKU? I've known Mayo since he was a kid. I hope he talked football and women more than politics lol

Glad you enjoyed it....Saw that the weather was nice for the trip. What did you think of coach Tressel?

Coach Tressel is a great man and a great coach. To describe him is hard because he's more than a football guy, he knows football. He's more than a coach, he can coach. More than a teacher, he can teach. More than a leader, he can lead. He's like a mentor, father, and friend put into one. He makes you feel so comfortable around him. He greeted me like we have been buddies for a while. The 1st thing we did when we meet with him was take a tour of his office. Now that may sound corny and i would have thought so but it reallys open you up to what he's all about. Im not going to go ove the whole tour but the highlight of it was a card collection he keeps of all the Ohio state players..I mean he had cards of old players as well. It was neat. He then told us a story of a former player who went back to graduate at the age of 70. The guy graduated at 72 and let us know that your buckeye for life and that he'll never turn he back on you. That was great to hear. I asked him about recruiting Fla and about his youngstown state days. He had a bunch of stories of former fla guys and explained how the fla guys really pushed then over the edge and why they were so successful. But the big highlight of the meeting was when he pulled out the BLOCK O. I cant accurately explain it but it describes the program's philosphy. Coach Tressel described it like it was his life. Everything Ive been about and everything that Ive been having LJ focus on was on that. As he was talking all I could say in my head was "perfect match". I dont about the cold or fans or classes but i do know there are no better set of coaches with a big heart. By the way he also showed us an article stating Columbus as one of the top cities in the nation for africans americans..i enjoyed that...But its much more that was impressive, including the players alternative playbook in which i'll describe later.

I'm not going to ask the obvious question, about the program, about all the fans, etc.

I want to know all your thoughts on the arena district....

I recently got to see the new ballpark, and all the other new additions near Nationwide Arena, and I was absolutely floored.

And I must say...the ladies were on full display this past weekend!!!!
What you know about the full display??? Was you there? About the arena district....ooohhhh mmyyyyyy.. FSU fans keep talking about they have more women or better looking women and all...no So fla got fine ladies...FAMU has fine ladies. But just FSU alone....OSU got something. It was 20 to 1. The only thing that was wrong about the place was the price for drinks.......too cheap lol... some of those people cant handle it, literally.

I was at Novak's on Saturday (as was D Stanley I might add who tried to get a photo-op with TFD, but I digress) and as someone who lives down there I can tell you the arena district was mobbed on Saturday night...

Glad to hear you both had fun this past weekend...

mobbed is the correct word. If its like that all the time they'll have to shut it down. just open it up when im there :osu:

Black on black baby. Actually that shirt is real cool, i was trying to explain that to everyone. NOw i took the vest off but i was real cool. I wear that shirt down here and it still stay cool. Funny thing, i had a bet with one of the coaches and i told him that i wasnt going to sweat one time during the day. After the game i saw him and i told him to find the sweat...

Haha, flashing the "U" in front of the Horseshoe. That's pretty funny. Way to stay true to your team.

Glad you and LJ enjoyed the visit.

I know LJ always talks about wanting to be "needed" not just "wanted", do you think the coaches made him feel that way?

Genron - Glad you enjoyed yourself. Do LJ's sentiments mirror yours?

What did you think of the Shoe? I know you won't have the same feelings as I, but I still get goose-bumps when I get close to that place (I am in my 50's). It really kicks in when I walk in and see the field. :osu:

Hope all works out for you to return for USC.

If LJ comes to OSU, the upcoming series with Miami ought to be interesting for you!!!

Best to you and LJ (6-star Frankenstein) no matter the college choice.:oh:

Hey Genron, I have four questions.

1. I read somewhere that LJ may play Safety this coming year. Is he a Corner or Safety in college?
2. Does FSU's upcoming season have much impact on LJ's decision?
3. Do you post on any team's board?
4. Do you have any eligibility left?

Thanks in advance. OH!

I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Being stuck on the west coast for college football season has been depressing. When it comes to college football there are no better fans than Buckeye fans. Ohio may not have the beaches, women, and weather of Florida, but the girls in Columbus are underrated and you will never find better people than Ohio. As you witnessed, there are no fans more dedicated than Buckeye fans.

Regardless if the choice is Ohio State or fsu, I will follow Lemarcus in college and root for him. Best of luck with the rest of the recruiting process.
