Lamarcus Joyner (DB New York Jets)

Here is the recap for the ESPN insider story about this,

"Lamarcus Joyner (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Saint Thomas Aquinas) said earlier Wednesday that reports of him eliminating Florida State from consideration were not true, but that one team had dropped off his list because of coaching turnover, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports."

College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2010 - ESPN

It appears the school eliminated due to coaching changes was ND, in his top 5 but never a threat.

IMO, OSU/FSU/UF are all still in the race, although UF would have to mount a serious late charge. Even the Gator homers aren't expecting him there.

Not to go against you bigdog, but I have a very hard time believing this article, especially after what Bill Greene came out with. Bill is very close to LJ and I personally do not think LJ would flat out lie to BG like this.

There are direct quotes from him on scout that were not broad. He specifacally stated that they are out of contnetion as he wanted to play for Bowden. That interview took place this morning.

Genron just said Florida State is NOT out of it though. Soooo?

Hmm, both sources claim that this was from this morning (i.e., Scout claiming FSU is out, whereas ESPN refuting it)....I guess I think more highly of the Scout team than the insiders on ESPN. Take your pick! :)

Trust me, the Fl big 3 will not ease up on him at all. UF wish he could sign right now. FSU is going to send the house at him. Miami is not a good fit. I know he made a mistake with his comments about Miami, "I think ill get screwed." Didnt mean it like that though. Simply, I dont Miami has developed or used their players over the past couple of years like they should. Their staff is unexperienced besides Young and he thinks their program is not dynamic. Dont worry about O-state getting a look. I got ya, OS will stay in the top 3-4 along with BC. I love OS tradition, program, school, environment, and the way players develop and are used on the field. Especially defensively, O-state DBs are often top notch.

This is my 1st post on this forum. I really like the class of the fans of OS here. Unlike the Miami fans who think that everyone who doesnt go their is scared of competition. LJ is my nephew by the way

The above quote was made December 2008. For those of you that think "Bank" is in the know. Listen to what Genron has to say folks. He knows more than any "insider" of what LJ's future intentions are.

Joyner is a premiere, undecided recruit playing in ESPN's all-star game, and potentially deciding during it. A report that Joyner is announcing his decision before that game is bad for business.

Genron's comments are always welcome around here, as is intel from the Bank. ESPN has proven themselves as well in this business, just not in the direction they'd like.

p.s. I have to side with the Bank, Genron might throw up 'Da U' on senior day if LJ comes north. :p
