LB Brian Rolle (Official Thread)

[SARCASM]Tressel can't recruit. Whenever you get true freshman like Rolle, along with Saine and Heywood standing out like they do, that shows how weak overall recruiting has been over the years. It's realy bad when you have to rely on true freshmen like we do. I wish Tressel would learn how to evaluate talent.[/SARCASM]

Read a letter to the editor in the Indy Star today that Weis's problem at ND is because of Willingham's Junior and Senior class and not Weis's young recruits. So, like you I am worried that Tressel struggles recruiting players who can step on the field and contribute right away.....

I love wathcing Rolle flying around just as much as the next guy. Isn't anyone concerned though about his size? He can't be pushing 210. He is great on special teams. He played great in mop up duty on saturday. Don't get me wrong, I love the passion he plays with. Does he run fast enough to let him roam the secondary and take some heads off? Just a thought/ concern.

Joe Cooper was a spark-plug linebacker for the Buckeyes and he wasn't much more than 210 or 215.

That being said, Rolle is short and he's young. He'll fill out to a solid 225 or 230, which will be more than enough to get the job done at WILL or SAM. He's going to be a VERY VERY good one.

As poor as FSU has become, Geno Hayes, is an absolute stud at LB and is right around 210.....Pittsburgh first rounder last year Lawrence Timmons was around 215-218

Speedly LB's who can also bring the pain are in right now...w/ so many teams running the spread, someone who can fly around in space and bring the wood is necessary
