LB Raekwon McMillan (New England Patriots)

Just read his diary about the various coaches he has built a relationship with, and was very impressed with young Raekwon. For such a young person, he is both complimentary and objective at the same time. If he is half the football player as he is suave spokesperson, tOSU needs him (any team should consider themselves lucky to get a kid of this caliber) and any more like him.

And maybe I'm looking through my scarlet-tinted glasses again, but I believe that Saban's "all business" demeanor versus Urban's "jokey" type of approach will not prevail. Urban can go "all business" easier and less 'false' than Saban can go jokey. Urban has a trump card to play and Saban has already laid his on the table. Now it's up to the current tOSU players to make Raekwon feel warm and wanted. Just my 2 cents. My worry is this Dabney fella, not Richt, Muschamp, or Satan.

Richard Burkhart/Savannah Morning News

SCHOOL/YEAR: Liberty County, junior

POSITIONS: Linebacker, running back

HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6-foot-3, 235 pounds

ACHIEVEMENTS: McMillan was named the defensive player of the year in Region 3-AAAA. Ranked as a five-star prospect by Rivals.com, McMillan has offers from all of the top Division I schools, including Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State and South Carolina. This season, he recorded 151 tackles with seven sacks, one INT, five forced fumbles and a fumble returned for a TD. He also ran for 316 yards (6.45 yards per carry) and scored nine rushing TDs. He played in the third annual AT&T Georgia Junior Bowl in Atlanta on Dec. 31 and was named by USA Today as a second-team All-USA selection.

INTERESTS: McMillan maintains a 3.4 GPA and also was a basketball player for the Panthers until this season, when he decided to focus solely on football.

WHAT?S NEXT: McMillan thinks the Panthers will be strong next year and hopes to end his high school career on an extended playoff run. He has said Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, Alabama and South Carolina are his top five schools. He plans to visit campuses and make his decision public at the Under Armour All-America game in 2014.

MCMILLAN ON MCMILLAN: ?I think I improved this year by dedicating myself to the weight room. I also really learned the playbook ? so I know where I?m supposed to be to make plays. My most memorable game this year was against South Effingham. I had 16 tackles, four tackles for a loss and rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. It was unfortunate we lost, but I played my heart out in that game.?

LIBERTY COUNTY COACH KIRK WARNER ON MCMILLAN: ?Raekwon keeps improving physically, and he is getting better in the mental game by leaps and bounds. He became the quarterback of our defense this year ? he knows where everyone should be. He works hard in the weight room. You just can?t keep him out of there. We were blessed to have Shadrach (Thornton, now at N.C. State) the last few years, and Raekwon has taken the torch from him. He?s become our leader.?

Latest Rivals Video. Video ends with the question "What do you want to tell the world?" His answer is a subtle "Go Bucks."

:osu:
I heard "What do you want to tell the Ohio State fans?" .. "Go Bucks"
but when asked about tOSU just earlier I beamed when I heard "I'd love to play for them one day"

Pretty sure his parents also invented the Patriot Missile system... his twin

How do you feel about Ohio State? They were your leader at one point. ?
Ohio State is really still toward the top of my list. Everybody knows that, because you can?t just stop liking somebody. You know, Coach Meyer, if he was still at Florida, I think I?d be committed to Florida right now. The distance factor (to Ohio State) isn?t playing a big role, but I am just trying to think about that I have two little brothers who are 5 and 6. I?m starting to think about them, and my family a little bit. Ohio State would be a great decision for me because I think I can get some early playing time. I?m not saying that I would take anybody?s job but I?m going there to compete. I?m not going there to sit on the bench. I know that (defensive coordinator Luke Fickell) loves me as a player, and Coach Meyer is great coach.?
So Ohio State is pretty much your leader?
Yes sir. I think Alabama and Ohio State are probably my leaders, with Clemson up there, too.?
