LB Ross Homan (official thread)

I was wondering about that and the chances of all those new players except, grant being redshirted. All the talk of how great all of LB'ERS looking so far and then the years in the program was my first thought. Freeman did last year and could have been the 1st option or split time with one of the stars.

Freeman redshirted last year because he was hurt. I'm assuming that if Homan does indeed redshirt, it will be for the same reason.

Thought I'd check in:

Spoke with Ross' brother last weekend. If Ross is redshirting, it just came out this week. As of last weekend, Ross was practicing (back from the hammy tweak, only missed a few days) and good to go.

I am 99% sure (like I said, unless something just surfaced) that Ross will not redshirt this year. He's got a great, I repeat GREAT, shot at taking the WLB job by Big Ten season. No way he redshirts unless he seriously messes up that leg.
