Shouldn't you have to know how to read and write to get that position?

Hey, he graduated high school! How hard can it be to negotiate a simple little thing like a collective bargaining agreement? And Derek Fisher set the bar for decorum pretty low during the last lockout.

Chose this thread instead of the Buckeye B-ball thread. Feel free to move if necessary.

Just sayin': The Miami Heat seem to be putting together (potentially) a pretty good supporting cast for LeBron and a run for another ring next year. You never now if they all will pan out or not; however, you have to really root for Greg Oden to have a solid year.

Heat bring back Michael Beasley

With James, Wade, Oden, Beasley, Bosh, Shane Battier and Ray Allen, the Heat now have seven players on their roster who were selected No. 6 or higher in their respective NBA draft classes.

He was released due to the drug problem per: http://nba.si.com/2013/09/03/michael-beasley-released-waived-cut-phoenix-suns/

He is still fairly young (24) and has been a good player (NBA ave. 14.1 ppg):

And if he learned his lesson and got straightened out; he could be a real "steal" at the NBA minimum salary. Than again, if he didn't; he could be a "bust".

Miami also signed Greg Oden to a veterans' minimum deal this summer, the same sort of deal that Beasley is getting from the club.

LeBron James Marries Longtime Girlfriend Savannah Brinson in San Diego

LeBron James has another ring to add to his collection! The two-time basketball champion tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson on Saturday, Sept. 14, sources confirm to Us Weekly.

The newlyweds said "I do" at the Capella Chapel at the Grand Del Mar hotel in San Diego, Calif., and were feted by around 200 guests, including famous pals like fellow NBA star Dwyane Wade, his actress love Gabrielle Union, Jay Z and singer Neyo. The "Let Me Love You" later performed at the reception.

The Miami Heat player, 28, and his new bride are high school sweethearts, and have been together since 16. The two got engaged in January 2012 after James proposed at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach, as pals Wade, Union, Lance Bass and Jamie-Lynn Sigler looked on. A source told Us that the basketball star presented Brinson with a pear-shaped engagement diamond during the proposal.

The couple are already parents to two children, LeBron James, Jr., 8, and Bryce Maximus, 6.

Maximus is the name of the lead character in "Gladiator," a movie about a powerful Roman general, who is betrayed and seeks revenge for his family's murder as a gladiator. The film is James' favorite.
