Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

I love watching Finn, but I agree with you. I'm not sure he's up to a school like OSU. Plus he had a rough, rough day in the MAC championship game that exposed a lot of weaknesses. He'll probably do great at a somewhat lower level P5 school though.
Hed be awesome in the Big12 where he can make playground like plays against average to below average defenses. Give him a TCU or OSU-lite offense

Not good for the teams, fans, or players in the current structure.
Teams like Scum bank on this now. The issue is the field is getting more competitive, so the potential pool of quality players gets small quicker. The money has become just as big as a factor as it has in recruiting.

Teams that couldn't keep up in the recruiting game, also can't be a player in the portal.

I think the up front money factor is something that is different this year, as kids are getting more savvy with it, and agents have infiltrated the landscape.

So, teams can't rely on the portal either.

Sure would have been helpful had that person included the total number of FBS football players. I honestly have no idea if this is 1% or 99%.
Assuming 133 FBS teams and only considering 85 scholarship players per team that's a little over 11,300 players, or just over 10% into the portal. OSU would currently be about 14% with 12 out of 85 currently in the portal.
