He's more Percy than Rainey, imo... Rainey is a good player, but Diggs is in the mold of a guy that can take over a game, ala Harvin. I know people get tired of the comparisons to Harvin, but that is what he looks like.

Rainey is 5-9
Diggs is 6-0 to 6-1. He is more of a receiver that can also run the football. A good comparison to Rainey imo is Neal.

I'm no expert, but Diggs has nowhere the explosiveness that Harvin and Deshaun Jackson had/have, nor the top speed that Jackson and Ted Ginn had/have. Not saying he won't be great, but he doesn't have ultra elite explosiveness (think Anthony Gonzalez) or top gear that says "gone" in a college game once those guys got daylight.

Plenty of hall-of-famers didn't have it either, so I'm not knocking Diggs at all, but I hate these comparisons to the most explosive and very fastest people in the NFL. I know it'd be less fun, but I think it'd be a lot more realistic.

Really hope we get him, though. Kid is a player, no doubt about it.

A taller version of Barry Sanders?

Did Gonzo really have ultra elite explosiveness? He had one of the best pairs of hands I've ever seen don the S&G but I don't know about explosiveness. But like you say, he's not coming here to be the next DJax or Harvin. He's here to become the first Stefon Diggs :oh:

He is under 4.5 speed. That is a given, and that is fast. The thing that makes him special is his ability to cut. It's almost a straight horizontal movement, and he's going full speed. Stefon Diggs is a SPECIAL talent. He is easily on Harvin's level. Apparently every recruiting site agrees...
