Since then, we've gone 3-3 in BCS bowl games. How many have they even BEEN in?

They won their only BCS appearance since then, beating the 'Noles in the Orange Bowl after the '03 season. The last 6 seasons, however, include zero BCS appearances. So they're undefeated in BCS bowls since their loss to tOSU. :tongue2:

They can also brag about a 1-point win over Nevada in the MPC Computers Bowl after the '06 season.

It's unlikely that Marve will play, since he transfered to Purdue last year. :wink2:

Thanks!...shoulda' done my homework. :tongue2:

I like Harris' extreme inconsistency though...I think it will play well into our hands. Really want a blow out. Wishful thinking or not...I would love to dismantle these guys. And if they were pre-season ranked top 15 or higher, even better for us.

Harris throws a lot of picks and looks like he forces throws. If we can get up early on them I can forsee a repeat of the Wisconsin game for the defense

especially since they lost their best lineman before the bowl game to injury and the Wisconsin D put constant pressure on Harris, that lineman (forget his name, LT though) graduated so that should be a major hole that they will be trying to fill by the second game of the season

The sad truth is that beating this Miami team will be nothing incredible because of their lack of talent. We won't be the only loss for Miama' next year.

Keep in mind when perusing cryami message boards, this:

...is an accurate representation of that fanbase. They bump Trilla whenever and wherever the fuck dey want.

Slow down. Miami has a lot of talent. This is the same team that started off 3-0 versus some top tier talent. The team last year was filled with sophomores. They will improve. Last year, Miami lacked consistency but not talent or ability.

We are replacing a few studs of our own on defense. At safety we will be inexperienced. Kurt Coleman's leadership will be hard to replace. With Miami's speed (beware of Benjamin) and ability to generate points quickly this game will be tougher than any of us would like.

They have good talent but nowhere near what we've come to expect from Da U.

1. They started 3-1
2. They were 1-1 against top squads, beating GT & getting destroyed by VT
3. They eeked out the other two vs very mediocre "powerhouses"

They still had a good season, but getting handled by two physical squads like UNC & UW doesn't bode well for this matchup.

As will OSU with most of the 2-deep returning, including both trenches.

Worthington & Spitler will be fairly easy to replace given the depth and talent that played with them. Coleman will not be replaced by week 2. Hopefully someone can step up and be a solid safety alongside Hines.
With Miami's speed (beware of Benjamin)
Miami's speed was better before they lost Cooper. Benjamin is speedy, I'm not sure he's something OSU hasn't seen before though. It will come down to what Miami can bring to the table besides Travis.

DE Cumbie kept up with him pretty well here:

Look for Harris to improve this off season as well...
I'm sure he'll be better this fall, but will that be true in week 2 or week 8? He's out all spring.
