Miami ranked higher then UF?

Bama is obviously better today. Will they be in January, who knows.

Well they won't have to play Arkansas again and that's the only SEC team I see with any chance of playing even with them -- Maybe Auburn. Even without Ingram and Julio they are loaded. I don't see them losing more than a game or two for the next two or three years

I can see Alabama being in Glendale easily, but I will not be super-surprised if they aren't.

If they go undefeated, it's another year for tOSU to play against a team expected to repeat. (As long as there are no screwups for us) Hopefully this one will go in our favor again.

A lot of words and sentiments being used liberally in this thread. Well Ohio State is obviously better than Alabama. **** now what? We can't both be right. I guess we might have to have some sort of rational conversation before taking polar positions.

Don't think it's that obvious at all.

Seems like the media only has a 1 week old memory sometimes. Do they forget that Bama obviously showed they were mortal against Arkansas, before essentially being let off the hook? Did they forget that Florida hasn't been playing that well this year to begin with? Struggling against Miami of OHIO, and Tennessee for a large portion of both of those games. All we saw last saturday is what happens when you can't put a full game together against a top team, of course they got the crap kicked out of them.

Might be in the AP poll but not ranked higher than UF in the coaches poll...:wink2:

I'll add a little more help in that area for our Southern friend....

To me it just seems like a down year for CFB across the board. What has Oregon done since the Rose Bowl last year to make them better than they were when OSU beat them rather easily?

It wasn't THAT easy, but I think we deserve the benefit of the doubt if it came down to a head to head comparison at the end of the year

What about the Arkansas game applies to Ohio State?

It shows that Alabama is in fact just like any other team and capable of being beaten.

People tend to get a little carried away with the whole "#1 team" business. Watching the talking heads on ESPiN calling the SEC a "1 horse race" has been pretty laughable. Alabama is just as vulnerable as Ohio State or Oregon

I apologize Iv lost your train of thought. By the same logic what about the Arkansas game applies to Alabama beating Ohio State. Or what about the Florida game applies to Alabama beating Ohio State? They are all qualitative judgments.

It was you who decided that there was evidence enough to make a clear distinction between OSU and Alabama. It was you who proposed an opinion that lies outside the collective thinking of this board. And now it is you who needs to decide whether you are going to explain your rationale or have it disregarded as the same type of unfounded statement you would expect to find on an SEC forum.
