NC ATH Nyheim Hines (NC State Commit)

I love the Buckeyes and am a die hard OSU football fan. I have to say, assuming Hines has the quote right, this is exactly the kind of quotes that made me cringe when Urban was at Florida. I think it was when Shariff Floyd was considering OSU and Florida and there was some quote about Urban telling Floyd it was a message from God he should play for the Gators. Sorry...end of rant.

That was an infamous comment, though ultimately the vision did prove accurate : p

This is nothing like that. It simply says his natural abilities are a perfect fit for this offense. The involvement of God in this quote is pretty trivial.

Wasn't there a dream involved there somewhere?

Clemson and USC in touch with Hines
By Phil Kornblut
bilde

Speedy WR Nyheim Hines of Garner, NC is sitting on 23 offers this summer and will cut down his list in late July. USC and Clemson are among those offers and remain in touch.

"I've been emailing with (Clemson's) coach Caldwell," Hines said. "And I talked to (USC's) coach Robinson and coach Spurrier. I'm still strongly interested and both want me to visit."

Hines said he will visit both school in the next six weeks. He has been to Ohio State and West Virginia. Right now he feels the strongest interest is coming from Clemson, USC, Ohio State, NC State, Duke, North Carolina and Vanderbilt. He has no favorites.

Hines said he also had a recent conversation with Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. "If God made an offense for you, this is the offense," Hines recalled Meyer telling him.

Hines can play receiver and running back. Clemson and USC are recruiting as a receiver and that's fine by him. "I want to be like a Percy Harvin," he said.

Hines said he could have a decision before he season or it might not be until September or October.

From outside the top 300 to #99 in the latest Rivals rankings.

Hines is one of the most electric players in the country and put up massive numbers this season. He can score from anywhere on the field, whether he takes a handoff, catches the ball on a screen pass or is a downfield receiver. With the ball in his hands, Hines is very good at making players miss with jukes to his left, right, spins and stiff arms. -- Friedman
