Nick Saban (ex-HC Alabama Crimson Tide)

Saban probably wasn't too pleased with this player's Twitter post:

Alabama wide receiver trash talks Ole Miss on Twitter after stunning loss

I apologize. I sent out an emotional tweet at an emotional time. Hats off to Ole Miss. They have a great team and played a heck of a game.

Say what you want about Saban, but he doesn't tolerate "unsportsmanlike conduct" by his players.

More excuses as Alabama continues tumble from top of football world

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Here we are, smack in the middle of we’re better than you, and suddenly lost in where do we go from here?

Not since Nick Saban’s first season at Alabama has there been this much uncertainty, this much unknown.

This much empty.

“They didn’t beat us,” says Alabama cornerback Cyrus Jones. “We beat ourselves.”

Welcome, everyone, to the fall of a champion.

There’s no greater indicator of a lost dynasty, no more prominent red flag, than ignoring the obvious: this is not the same Alabama program of years gone by.

Ole Miss 43, Alabama 37 simply put an exclamation point on it.

This is not the Alabama team that dominates and suffocates and eviscerates. This program, since late last season, stumbles and eventually crumbles in big games.

Then makes excuses.

Cont'd ...

It's called trash talk. It's not meant to be taken seriously or analyzed.
Are you an English teacher by chance?
No. As for taken seriously, I find it hard to know when folks seriously think they are "better" than their southern counterparts and when they are talking trash. It's a bit difficult to cut through the hate to determine what is ignorance and anger and what is playing around.

Hate? No. You don't see anyone here shooting up churches... well, maybe Muck in the Arky thread =x
Contempt and Disgust? Definitely. And it's usually both half-serious and irrational trash talk.
Are we really defending the Deep South while calling others ignorant? Do you know the meaning of that word? Because it's pretty much the perfect 1-word description for that region. Ignorant.

The South gets a bad rap because they deserve it. It's an appalling sect of society whether you're looking 200 years ago or now. Whether you're looking at current events or national rankings.

Just like the article said... in denial.
The U.S. Census is a pretty good indicator of how terrible the south is.

Education, health, poverty, unwed child birth and a lot of other things are all significantly worse in the south than in any other part of the country.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...-worst-place-to-live-in-the-u-s-in-10-charts/

These are based on statistics, not opinions.

On top of that, if the federal government didn't constantly dump money into Southern states and they were left to fend for themselves, they would all be even more terrible.

I don't understand? I heard all day yesterday how this years front 7 was the best Bama has ever had and their D line was the best in the Nation?

And last years Dline was the best they had ever had at Bama and the best in the Nation?

Saban must fucking suck then because he always has the best D in the Nation, the D Line, the Best Front 7, every single year they are the best in the country and they are even better than they were than the previous years D which was the best ever at Bama, which was even better than the previous years D that was the best before last year? I don't know how we would stand a chance against them this year?

Fuck Bama.
Well, keep in mind these are the same brainless fuckwits that said USC was the greatest team ever each year in the 2000s, regardless of how many games they lost. They've just picked a new team.
