Notre Dame (football only discussion)

Have lost their four BCS games by 32, 14, 27, and 28. An average of 25.25 points.

And in that 14 point loss they gave up the most yards they've ever given up (617).

On a side note, anyone still think Te'o is the best LB in college football?

I've said it from the very beginning on BP, Teo isn't (and wasn't) even the best defensive player in the country let alone a Heisman trophy contender.

Teo is a however a solid LB, who has a knack for being in good position to make plays. He doesn't drop interceptions, and he makes big plays. All of these things made him appeal to Hesiman voters.
Teo had great stats during the season, but I just never got the feeling like that he was as dominant of a player that some made him out to be.

This thread should be deleted until it's proven that Notre Dame still has a football team.

On the other hand, Alabama did what Michigan, Purdue and Michigan State couldn't do. Throw in Oklahoma, Stanford and USC.

Losing the NC game by a big margin does not diminish a fine season by the Irish anymore than Ohio State getting blown out by Florida and LSU in similar circs. Give them credit for getting there when a lot of other teams didn't, to include Oregon, USC, Georgia...

And I still hate the Irish.

I give them credit for nothing. They were a two loss team going into the bowl season. The fact that the refs blew the Stanford and Pitt games does nothing to change that.

The "fix" was in with the Stanford game. They lost to Stanford twice. The refs didn't blow it. It was a set up.
Just shameful .
