*Official* Tool Fans Thread

I love me some Tool. I need to see them live again. I got to see them when they were at Nationwide last time they were in Columbus. Easily the best show I've seen (they played with ISIS, another favorite band of mine).

I approve of this thread. There is no better band out there, lyrically, musically anything. :banger:

Also, Danny Carey may be the best most diverse drummer out there today. Just listen to "Ticks and Leeches" from Lateralus and I defy you to find better drumming on a song amongst active drummers....

Incidenty, Maynard is an Ohio boy...born in Ravenna.

Ive been to Ravenna, It felt like heaven.

When it comes to Tool it is very difficult to pick a favorite song. There all so very dear to me, So dear in fact that my pin number for my debit card comes from one of their songs.

One of the greatest moments in my life was during the show in Huntington WV, This was the first time after the release of 10K days that I had seen them. At the time my most listened to song on the album was Rosetta stoned. All because of the part at 8:37, that part would always make me shudder just listeneing to it in my car. But when he did it live, I about passed out, it sent chills through my spine and made the hairs stick up on the back of my neck. At that moment I was complete. Also singing the last part of Vicarious without him singing was very cool too.

I too have been to Ravenna. I bet Maynard was unable to find the Wendy's when he was heading East too. They've got it tucked behind some trees.. damn near impossible to see. Coming at it from the east, that is heading West, it's easy to see.

Fuck your short memories.

I like the older stuff but I found 10,000 Days really mind blowing, its deeper than Lateralus in my opinion, but it will never top ?nima. Eulogy just gets me every time.

"Come down, Get off your fucking cross, we need that fucking space to nail the next fool martyr"

" To ascend you must die. You must be crucified For your sins and your lies. Goodbye..." (goodbye part is just chilling)

Also for some reason lately ive been on a APC binge, ive listened to Passive lik 30 times today...

Also just put out Puscifer CD last October. Mostly just an outlet to goof off, but there's a couple decent songs on there.
