Game Thread Ohio 14, Ohio State 26 (Sept. 6)

I think the idea is our run game is much better with Pryor in the game without Beanie. Pryor makes the other tailbacks that much better b/c of the attention he receives.

If Beanie isn't full go against USC, we may see even more Pryor to take the pressure off of Saine, Boom, and Maurice.
I don't see that happening unless really bad things happen to us during the game. JT doesn't like changes.

A week ago, I probably would have agreed with you, but soemthing tells me Pryor is going to see significant time against USC. Not saying he'll start or play half the game, but I think he'll be a part of the gameplan. His talents are so rare.....plus he makes all of the other skill players significantly better because of his mobilty and execution of a spread option.

That may be, but he also knows a special player when he sees one. Just read how much he has raved about TP. I don't think TP will see more snaps than Todd necessarily, but I do believe he'll be a big part of the USC gameplan. His skillset brings a whole other dimension to the offense. And trust me, I know that performance was only against YSU and not a national power, but that kid just looks so smooth and effortless out there. Particularly when running. Sometimes you may just stumble upon a trancendant/generational type player. MoC looked like that for much of 2002. I got that same itch from Terrelle yesterday.

Exactly. I think people still have trouble grasping just how good he may very well already be. I know it was only YSU, but him getting in there that early yesterday was pretty telling to me. I didn't expect him to get in there until mid-late 3rd quarter at the earliest.

You know, the funny thing about this game is that the majority of Ohio's student body won't care about the result of this game. Losing a football game to anyone, even if it is tOSU, really doesn't bother anyone at Ohio. Everyone is still going to end up on Palmer Street and Mill Street on Saturday Night, and nothing will change. It just doesn't matter to anyone in school down there, really.

The only reason I might agree is the mop-up duty factor. Against the starters the whole game chances would be less than 10%.

BTW, it was still unclear whether the game was going to be on ESPN or ESPN2 last week, according to the ESPN bottom line today it's saying the game will be on ESPN.

Sounds like the game is on ESPN2 & ESPN360.

I think I'm about to lose power, so I didn't read the whole thred.
Is Beanie going to play? Or should I bench him in my fantasy league for the week?

Nothing official, but I'd 100% sit him. Even if he plays, which I doubt he will, it won;t be more than a few snaps to test the ankle.

But I doubt he plays at all.

I agree that Pryor gets some serious time on Saturday--both to get him some gameday reps and to rest Boekman. If we had an over/under vbet on it, I'd easily take 300+ in combined rushing and passing for TP.

I don't think we'll hang 43 on them, given JT's proclivity to go easy on the Fredo schools and Beanie sitting out, but another shutout is likely.

I'm going to predict 27-0.

ill be watching this one more closely to get a better look at pryor. I went out to watch the YSU game but the place I went to didnt have very good tvs, I think I may go to some type of bw3s or something and watch it closely. I can't wait to see what TP can do!

Dude, the game is on ESPN2, so unless you live in a teepee you can watch TP at home. In the event you do live in a teepee how can you have internet access but not a tv?
