Pat Forde acting like an uninformed asshole, as usual.

4. Ohio State at USC is the nonconference game of the year.
And if the Buckeyes win it on Sept. 13, they'll be eight flimsy Big Ten games from another berth in the national championship game. Wouldn't that be special?

If you scroll through Forde's archive, you can see what kind of hack he really is. It's one thing to give analysis, it's another to be a blow hard with a computer.

Forde previously heaped praise on Ohio State and Troy Smith, only to extract revenge when Ohio State lost to Florida.

God, I love archives. Writers act like they don't even exist. He's trying to be the next Dennis Dodd over at CBS.

Okay, methomps, you caught me making an egregious claim without having anything to back it up. It's happened before, and it will happen again. Still, I only see two impressive games against top defenses on your list (VT & UT). The rest of the opponents aren't exactly scary on D (Arky ranked 9th in the SEC that year). If you look at the average points allowed per game by BCS conferences for those years, PAC-10 ranks 5th and 6th, respectively. As I've said in previous posts, Bush is a good athlete, I just don't think he's as good as his hype. His performance in the NFL so far backs that up. I just hope that when they bust him for getting paid more than his professors, they take his Heisman and give it to Vince Young.

Ah damn, you're right. Anyway, Forde is a hack. The guy has no idea how good or bad OSU (or any other team) will be this year, yet he has the temerity to imply that OSU playing for the MNC would be bad. It blows me away. If he has an inside line on absolute truth, I wish he would enlighten us all. Maybe we could save money on travel and tickets, just let Saint Forde tell us who the champion will be.

I like CFN a lot. Their analysis is usually very good and unbiased. It's nice to have them pick OSU, but this game is a pick 'em at this point. We'll know much more after week 2, but I'd be surprised to see a line over 7. I thought it was funny that they forgot to highlight the Stanford game as a win. It's obviously a mistake, but it made me look twice.
