Game Thread Ohio State 6, Penn State 13 (Oct. 25)

Honorary Captain?

usually by now the ozone has revealed the honorary captain. Or maybe everyone knows but me....?

Do the Bucks have an honorary this week?

Would love to see a D line mauler, like Will Smith, or a great backer like Spiels.

Fire up that D, baby!

I'm so stoked for this game! I've got everything set, I'll be eating wings and wathcing tOSU fight it out with a good PSU team.

All in all I really think its the defense that'll make the difference. If James can keep Clark from scrambling too much and MJ shuts down the recievers, look out!

Plus, if Minor can run all over PSU, then I'd say Beanie should have a pretty good day. I'd say 150 and 2 tds, with Pryor chipping in 75-100 himself. Its gonna be a hell of a night, C-Bus will be rockin!

Jesus, reading these articles from other school papers doesn't give me much hope for the future of sports journalism. It reminds me of something Sparky Anderson said about baseball, "For the next ten years, pitching in the major leagues is going to be terrible, then it's gonna get worse.".

on another subject,
anyone notice that michigan ran almost every play to the left with a large amount of success early? i guess this was to stay away from Bowman who still led the team in tackles... supposedly their weak link is Hull

PSU usually have their best/most experienced player at MLB. Hull wouldn't be starting if we didn't have injuries. He tries hard but tackles 5-7 yards from the line or only when the RB runs straight into him. He is a liability when the other team choose to exploit it. I don't think PSU will leave Hull in this game long unless he plays out of his mind.

Can anyone tell me how good the view is from 14 C.

Im going for the experience, but was wondering how good the seats are, they look pretty good to me.
14C will be good. There's really only two bad spots in the 'Shoe:

* Behind a pillar in B deck
* Beside the walls of the press box on the West side of the stadium (I believe that's the highest rows through sections 11-29).

I agree that those are the worst places in the Shoe, but I'll add another: south end zone.

Care to qualify that?

You mean justify my statement? OK. It's a drag not being able to see the scoreboard (especially this year since they now replay even close calls) and it is very difficult to see how far down the field the ball is going (i.e., a 3 yard run looks very similar to a 7 yard run).

No, I meant qualify it.

I can see that, but 'bad' seems a bit strong. Endzone seats are never mistaken for 50 yard line seats, that's why commoners can afford them.
