Game Thread Ohio State @ Nebraska - 09/28/19, 7:30PM (ABC)

Not to hijack the game thread but..

DBB: It was down to Vue, YTTV and Hulu for me. Vue was the only one with ALL the sports networks I wanted. YTTV doesn't have the NFL Network. I have the "Core" tier with Vue. It is about $5/mo more than YTTV. I'm finding that I don't watch the MLB and NFL networks as much as I thought (read: not at all), so I'm contemplating switching to Hulu. They are$10/mo less than Vue and $5/mo less than YTTV, but with no NFL or MLB Networks. I'm loving Vue right now, but I'm on the introductory price of $45/mo for the first two months. Then it goes to $55. Not sure I want to pay that.

I'm interested in your experience with Youtube. Let me know.
Once again, not to derail the tread, but I've been using Hulu for several months with no problems. The only real complaint I have is that the user interface and guide could be better.

Has anyone checked on Neb forums? I got to checking around and the feeling varies from they stand no chance, to thinking they win because Ohio St sleep walks.

Personally my money (literally and I NEVER bet on Ohio St) is on Ohio St to cover and then some.

Haven't checked any Nebraska forums but some of what I'm hearing at work (where I'm surrounded by Husker fans) is pretty funny. One predicted putting up 400-500 yards of offense against the Buckeyes, someone else said that they have the best DL in the BIG and will shut down Dobbins and Fields easily, and others have said Martinez has some extra motivation because he wasn't offered an OSU scholarship and he wants to show that smug Ryan Day up. They also enjoy pointing out the Iowa and Purdue debacles and think they will be that team this year because OSU hasn't played anyone.

Other fans have just said they are expecting a game where OSU goes off and the Huskers don't come close.

OH! Almost forgot that Frost is saving all of his playbook for the game this weekend and OSU won't know what hit them. That's something that a lot of people have told me.

Line is up to -17 with an o/u of 66.5, which comes out to a score of around 42-25. Sorry, but I don't see Corn putting up 25+ points on us.
Same here. They only put up 30 on the worst OSU defense ever, and that was when their offense was humming. I could be horribly wrong but yeah, I'm still sticking to my original thoughts about OSU wanting to make a statement on prime time television. Nebraska is gonna get pummeled.

LOL! I hadnt heard they had the best DL in the B1G, that is ridiculous. Especially considering Illi's RB just put up almost 7 yards a carry on them. I also didnt see Day say anything disrespectful, if anything he was complimentary of Martinez. AM may be more motivated but I don't think that will matter. As far as Frost saving anything, well thats just bullshit. You don't lose to Colorado and almost lose to Illi while saving anything.

One thing is for sure, Day is not Urban Meyer. In both good and bad ways but in this case, in definitely a good way. Day is not letting a game slip by, especially not one that's been talked about for the last 8 months as a "trap game"

The overt trap game discussion all off season has always led me to believe this will not be the trap game.

People want to draw parallels to Iowa and Purdue need to look at that damn Northwestern game on a Friday night.

It’s sandwiched between the MSU and Wisconsin games. Definitely a recipe for an unfocused underperformance at Northwestern.

Edit:

The last game against Northwestern was a 24-20 nail-biter vs a 7-6 wildcat team in 2016.
The last game AT Northwestern was a night game in 2013 that ended on a defensive score and was much closer than the 40-30 final would have you believe. That edition of the Fighting Fitzgeralds finished 5-7.

Good point... You have to think with Day being in his 8th game as a head coach is lazer focused right now on each game.

The reason those let downs occurred anyways was our defense couldn't stop anything and it had been a trend in both of those seasons. That's not the case this year though.
