Game Thread Ohio State @ That TeaX Up North - 11/30/19, Noon (FOX)

Great Zach Boren interview:

Boren telling Gardner “where his place should be”:

LGHL: Can you explain to the best of your ability— for those of us who have never and will never experience it— what it’s like to sack a Michigan quarterback? What is going through your mind when you realize that you’ve got him?

Boren: Honestly, the only thing I can tell you is during the game, people ask what it’s like to play, you know, in the shoe or big time college football. But, it’s like you don’t even notice the crowd. You’re so focused. You’re so dialed in at that point. When I sacked Gardner, it was one of those things where I was just reacting. I put everything I had into him. And it was one of the only times in my career where I got done with the play, and everyone’s going crazy, we were coming off the field cause it was fourth down, and everything went silent. I just looked around and really took it in. Those five seconds will probably be the best five seconds of my life. I really can’t put into words what you feel in that moment.

The more I read, the more I see their players running their mouths. Same smack, different year. They never learn.

Already talking about how they’re going to stop Chase from getting in the backfield. What? Why would you even open your trap to let that sentence drop out??

Can’t wait.
Probably because they're fucking morons...

This game gets more enjoyable as I get older. The kid is now 3 and she likes to cheer on the good guys, although her nap usually kicks in at halftime. She doesn't know a world in which the good guys don't reign supreme, and likely never will.

It's an awesome few days.....Thanksgiving, and then Friday we put up all the Christmas stuff and she's amazed by the tree, and then Heaven gives us an early peak on Saturdays.

What I'm trying to say is, scUM is about to get their ass kicked so hard their shit stained khakis will crust and wrinkle, not only breaking that idiots heart but also his wallet. 'Murica.

Behind a paywall, but worth reading if you can. they compare Harbaugh to past M recruiting, which made a living in Ohio. They aren't criticizing him, just noting the difference.

"Putting together a top-five class has become routine at Ohio State, but the hours spent formulating a plan and executing it is a non-stop effort, led by player personnel director Mark Pantoni.

You want to know what else is on those walls? Michigan’s recruiting board.

“We put their recruiting list on the board, compare our guys to theirs just about every day, every week,” Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said. “Something that Mark looks at every day."

And...

"In Michigan’s classes in 2016, 2018 and now in 2020, the Wolverines have signed or will sign zero prospects from Ohio. In the four classes between 2016-19, there were 45 four- or five-star players in Ohio. Michigan signed three. Of the 20 top-five players in Ohio in that five-year span, Ohio State signed 13. Meanwhile, Ohio State took important players out of Michigan such as Mike Weber, Damon Webb, Michael Jordan and Joshua Alabi.

Yes, Michigan was close to signing five-star defensive end Zach Harrison of Olentangy Orange in the 2019 class, but Day eventually won out despite OSU being in a coaching transition away from Meyer.

Michigan just hasn’t been a threat in Ohio. And that’s been big for Ohio State."

To the question: Who's got it better than us?

There will be a clear answer by the time THE GAME is over.
TTUN has a good Offense. TOSU has an elite Defense.
TTUN has a good Defense. TOSU has an elite Offense.
TTUN has a sub-par kicking game. TOSU has a very good kicking game.
TTUN has good coaches. TOSU has elite coaches.

Keys to the game:
Run the ball.
Hold onto the ball.
No missed tackles.
Limit penalties
Unleash Chase Young.

Some of this is eerily similar to words coming out of the mouths of Coopers teams. It never ever ends well.

Happy Thanksgiving Buckeye Nation. To those serving overseas away from family today thank you and come home safe. To first responders dealing with everyone's shit today, thank you and make it home safe. To those on this board who believe they are alone or dont have family, know you are not alone and have a family here at BP. From my family to you and yours, Fuck Xichigan .
