Ohio State University to have new logos

Ha - reminds me of when my company changed logos, years ago. All they did was write out the company name, in all lower-case letters, and italicized it. I have no idea how much we paid a consulting company, but if it was more than a jar of applesauce, we got ripped off.

I just laugh at the entire situation and perhaps indicative of the leadership of the Department of Athletics, but OSU has to now replace the huge logo on the back of the Ohio Stadium scoreboard (less than a year old) and the logo on the new basketball floor.

It really seems like some at OSU (or Nike) continue to try to "shoe-horn" Black as a school color.

Changing the border from grey to black and making it about half as thick would actually look good. It would also have a side benefit of emulating the iconic helmet stripe.

Of course that would probably necessitate making the black part of the lettering thinner to compensate (so as not to overwhelm with the black or make it look like it's running together) going with the grey interior would probably work pretty well if you went that route (as Woof mentioned above).

So basically the following but with much thinner black borders...
