OK - Whose Fault Is It?

I know it's kind of early to start this, but I feel responsible and have to get this off my chest.

My wife was sitting next to me on the couch. We were up 10-0.

Then she went to give our son a bath. I thought about not letting her leave (I have means of doing this if necessary).

In retrospect, I know I should've taken one for the team and kept her on the couch. Oh well.

Sorry.

Anybody else have a confession to make?

After putting money on OSU in the Casino in Aruba...at 10-0 my Mom looks over with a big grin and says "We should have put more on it"

I actually said "Shut Up" to her out loud. The Jinx was on at that point. Deja Vu

I have two Troy Smith Jerseys, last year I wore my white one and we lost, this year I wore my Scarlet one and we lost, so I think I have to take blame for two years worth of NC losses. My bad, I will stick with a 45 jersey from here on out.

My unusual negativity when Robo dropped the TD that would have put us up 17-10. Blurted something along the lines of "Watch the goddamned field goal get blocked and returned for a TD". The Nostradamic effect that had on my sons took them out of their OSU good mojo until halftime.

I am sure that I did many other things that caused this loss.

EDIT: But instead of listing them, I will simply agree with ohsportsfan9 in that we all know that Ty Willingham is to blame.

I did the same thing. :shake:

It's my buddy Brian's fault.

Pussy had "to get up early" and couldn't come over for the watch party, even though we're undefeated as a group for the watch parties.

WAHHHHAAA, I've got to get up at 5:30 AM !!!!

Whiner was there for 2002 ... where is he now, huh? Home in his bed. Pussy!

it's all the fault of my three year-old. this morning, he absolutely refused to put on his #33 scarlet tOSU jersey. completely uncharacteristic of a kid who could do the O-H-I-O chant from the time he was two.

little brat, just refused to wear his beloved buckeye jerey. i was beside myself. i tried everything and he wasn't having it. then i asked him, "but why don't you want to wear it?"

his shocking response made my lips quiver almost made me cry. he proclaimed, "i don't want to wear it because ohio state isn't going to win tonight!"

then he drove the knife in deeper. he announced that, "i want to wear my lizard shirt today!"

i was embarrased, floored, and swear that my life flashed before my eyes. my shoulders drooped and i staggred away... :sad2:

true story...

Okay, I didn't bring this up last year in this thread out of fear and guilt, but I will this year because it weighs heavily upon me.

I left OSU at the height of the dot com boom, when the lure of six figure salaries and eight figure stock option packages was too much to pass up. I was studying for MCATs at the time, preparing for my last semester at OSU, which I was going to follow with a little time off because that's just when I first fell ill. I left just a hair short of my degrees.

The summer before last, I learned of Penn State's online offerings, and decided to rebuild a new degree -- something I could make use of even if I never fully recover. I left microbiology and biochemistry behind, and built around psychology, philosophy, and political science instead.

Yes. Technically speaking, I, Clarity of BuckeyePlanet, have been a Penn State student. Not a Nittany Lion per se. My blood is still red, er, scarlet. My ears still bleed that scarlet blood when that stupid Lion roars when we play them (not that it did much this year, lol) -- but I am certain that I've created a deep tear in the karmic fabric of the universe as a result of my oh-so-loose affiliation, and these two losses are our cost.

So, I hereby promise to cut all ties with State Penn BEFORE next season starts.

Was overly upset about the dropped touchdown felt that could be a key changing play, felt the field goal was going to be blocked and well...
