Ya know, I think I'm above bashing a kid....but it's things like this that really get under my skin.
meh. when you want to be a buckeye and then see everyone else but your home-state buckeyes offer, i understand the spite. on the heels of a less than stellar offensive line class, especially at dodson's position, it makes little sense to sit on your thumbs when there is outstanding in-state talent. granted... given our current situation, perhaps ohio state was well under 50% for dodson anyway. doesn't matter. offer the player before almost everyone else does.

welcome to our recruiting reality for the next 1-3 years :(

I think we should hold off on the 'sky is falling' until the NCAA actually hands down punishment. I mean not having Luke as the full time guy is gonna hurt us. But after the media fire strom settles down we will do fine.

Once we know of the punishment I think recruiting will pick up a little depending on what it is...

I almost used an expletive before the word YES! Where do you see him playing? Are we done with O-line recruiting?

He's obviously a tackle, and in the perfect world he and Kalis will be the anchors on the edge for years to come.

As far as recruiting, it seems like Evan Goodman is still a possibility to be a part of the class, but otherwise there hasn't been much positive buzz around any of the offered players to this point from what I've read.

I wouldn't be suprised to see another waves of offers go out soon. I think LF is starting to get into the swing of things and might start offering "his guys" soon. Plus we have the two day camp coming up.

Let's hope so.

This is a recruitment that I did not understand from the get-go. Soft played it for no good reason; the out-of-state candidates aren't any better. The team needs a LT and refuses to chase after a kid that wants to be here. Turmoil? Yes. But this should have been an offer many moons ago.

Why is OL, particularly OT, such a difficult position to succeed with in Ohio State recruiting?

He didn't have the necessary test score. I believe he was told up front that he needed a better score to get an offer.
