GO BUCKEYES!!
Me and my girlfriend just recently moved to Columbus. She is from here, and i have been in college at University of Tennessee. We are HUGE OSU fas, as my grandfather went to college here. Since im new around here... i was wondering, is there ANY way to get tickets to some home games? I dont really care which games( and i know the "big" matchups are already sold out). I just have never been to an OSU football game...and i really wanan be able to experience it. Is there a place to pre-purchase them online by chance? Thank you very much for any help you could provide!

Scalp tickets to the lesser popular games. You should be able to get them for face. Just make sure you're in your seat 30 mins. before kickoff.

Bingo.

I went to the Michigan State game last year (when they were still ranked in the top 20), and got a pair of tickets on the 45 yard line.......C deck for $10 over face value.

Two years before that, I went to the Iowa game when OSU and Iowa were both ranked in the top 11 or 12, it was a huge game. My buddy and I were in the AA deck (very close) right on the goaline. We paid roughly $10-15 over face for that one too.

For the lesser games, if your not picky where you'll sit.......you'll be able to score tickets at or within $5 of face. Sometimes you can get them under face.

Never buy tickets from scalpers who are far from the stadium....they charge the most. The best one's usually are hanging out around hineygate, you can usually barter them quite a bit.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! My fiances' grandfather is an alum of OSU....turns out they set aside tickets for them(just a few) for every game if they want to get them for friends family. My first OSU game will be the opener this year. I cant wait! Im curious to see how the atmosphere compares to Knoxville, TN.

Get some Michigan tickets (or any other Big Ten games in a pinch) if you want a true comparison. The opener won't have nearly as many students in attendance since fall quarter doesn't start until later in September. The atmosphere won't be up to it's full potential until the Big Ten schedule starts most likely.
