Love the throwback to the Goonies! Astoria, OR is a cool town to visit.

I’m pumped for this game. It will be my first game back in the Shoe in nearly 2 years, first home game of the season, 9/11, the weather looks perfect and a top 10 matchup. I’ve got buddies in town heading to the game with me and we’ve got a full weekend of festivities. Will be a great day to be alive and I think the environment will be electric.

I’m predicting a 42-24 outcome with the Buckeyes starting strong and dominating in the trenches. Late garbage points will make the score look closer.

I actually share your prediction, I think we tear Oregon apart in this game and dominate. I would say a 20+ point win. People might be down on us after the Minnesota game, but I think that went about how we should have expected it. Minnesota plays a game that is a little foreign to us, Oregon should be right up our alley imo. Enjoy the game in the Shoe, it will be awesome to have fans fill it up and get loud again. I can tell you from tailgating the Minny game and even seeing it get electric there, I can't imagine Columbus after a year of no fans in the stands with a top ranked opponent. Should be epic.

Until ratings drop for FOX, they'll continue to do this. They don't give a damn if it has a negative affect on recruiting, fan experience, ticket sales, etc... It's all about eyeballs on tv screens for them. Just wait until Ryan Day wants a kid from Florida or Georgia to visit for the biggest game of the year and that kid, instead visits, say, Bama/Ole Miss because he can make the 2:30 kick but couldn't make it to Columbus by noon.

I was looking to buy a ticket last night and fly up from Nashville. Unfortunately, my flight would have landed in Columbus at 10:50 am. And that's with a connecting flight. My guess it that I'd miss the majority of the 1st quarter, even if my flight were on time. Getting a car, construction, parking, walking to the stadium...I'm not paying $250+ for a ticket to miss the 1st quarter.

Nothing we can do. FOX knows people are going to tune in.

Meh. It’s an easy drive from Music City to Cbus. Set an early alarm and you’ll be there in time for kegs and eggs!

You won't miss the 1st quarter. I have routinely flown in from Chicago and landed around 11am. Grab Uber and have them take 71-North to Hudson and make your way west to High St. or Olentangy River Rd. Easily gets you within 20min walk to stadium.

That's great to know. I was reading that Gene was recommending people give themselves extra time due to construction. I might just have to do it.

If they're thinking of having #5 go from "we did some thing but we're being cautious" to complete full go against two enormous and aggressive OTs then the kid is going to be limping off the field in the 1st half. Yeah I don't want him to play for selfish reasons but also it'd seem to he very unwise for him to do so. Guaranteed liability after maybe the first few drives.
