Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I think McMoxie and Tater Tot are missing one hell of an opportunity if they don't team up and create an online/social media marketing agency once their playing days are over.

They are true masters of the medium.

Thought I'd see what Ped State fan is saying about the fight.

Instead, I stumbled upon this. This has to be the most sickening response I've yet seen to the charges.

I honestly suggest people read this thread, so they can get a true grasp for how unhinged and debased that fanbase is and how the whole sick cult of Paterno has turned them into heartless sick bastards.

Read as much as I could tolerate. The depth to which parts of their fanbase has sunk is beyond comprehension.

So here's what chaps my ass... a team like Houston gets into a bowl game about two echelons above where they belong and they get a Penn State team that's falling apart and it's off-to-the-races time - hey if they beat Penn State they belong in the BCS NCG.

This post in the Spence thread on Audibles (I do enjoy a good meltdown), offered in response to typical PSU denialism, is incredibly spot on:

Re: Noah Spence*

After WWII, German civilians were forced to walk past the death camps so that they couldn't deny what had happened.**Many PSU fans/alums need to be forced to watch all of the victims' testimony because you have obviously lost your humanity.* I am not sure what is most embarrassing for PSU...the rogue actions of the Ath Dept, Paterno, etc or the mass denial and rationalization*of what has transpired at your university - which*is so vile that many of us are speechless.

Television (non-sports station) specials, your coach was dumped by PSU like the trash he is, special investigations/prosecutors, rival fans embracing your team OF OUT PITY, being called out by your own conference, an unprecedented investigation by the NCAA, your coach's name has been deleted from the conference championship trophy...the list goes on and on.* And the echo chamber here is still denial.* Unbelievable.* Karma is a ***** PSU89er and there is a special payback in store for you for your lack of compassion here.* Your whole stance is how*the episode*affects PSU's football program.* I can't think of anything short of mass murder that I would want less associated with my university than this.* It makes the whole Fab Five thing irrelevant to Michigan.* This is a stain that will live on in PSU's reputation for a hundred years.

If I were a parent I wouldn't be so concerned about what had happened at PSU - because all of the perps are gone.* However, I could never allow my son to walk into*the cesspool culture that is so widely reflected here by your fan base.** Defenseless children have been raped with the awareness of many univeristy officials.* A DA*may have*been killed in the cover-up.* And you still want to talk about poor college kids getting a little spending money - as though mommy and daddy never sent you any.* You are truly shameless.

This web-site should be required reading for university level sociology classes.* A group of college-educated people creating illusory defenses when*they should be*admitting their collective shame for the support of your program's cover-up.

I would hope the few posters who, rightfully, called that thread shameful seriously consider if they want to be part of that fan base.

Say what you will but the Ohio State case is much worse than the USC case.

That is stupid, but maybe he meant the other USC...

The university has disassociated itself from three boosters, including Student Athlete Mentoring Foundation president Steve Gordon
and Kevin Lahn, and demoted former head of compliance Jennifer Stiles for her office's role in signing off on the hotel arrangements.

Oh. Never mind then...
