Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I don't see any halos other than JoePed.

Maybe Joesus was the only one who died?
Seriously, though, I don't get it. I'd never think of painting halos on any picture or painting of anyone I knew and loved who had passed away. Maybe that would change if I had known the real Joe.
Speaking of the real Joe, wasn't there a rumor that he got out of his car yelling at a visitor in State College for not getting out of his way, or something? I think I'm more inclined to believe the stories like that than I am the tripe they try to feed people on BWI.

The thing I'll never understand is everyone (that idiot PSU fan base included) was ready to send Joe out to pasture prior to 2005. Then he has one lucky, senior-laden team who barely escaped a horrible Florida State team in one of the worst BCS bowls ever, and suddenly there was some kind of re-deification of Joe amongst the Pedsters that forgot about his previous 5 lousy years and again believed that the Joe who they'd been clamoring time had passed by was suddenly a spry 40-year old coach at the top of his game.

You forgot about the part where the Big Ten officials knew Michigan would need them, so they gave Michigan 2 seconds for no reason at all. With 1 second left, they beat Penn State that year. It's a good thing, too, because if they had been undefeated like they were 11 years before, and still the voters in Big Ten country wouldn't vote them #1, Penn State might have left the Big Ten at that time. Was that before instant replay was implemented? Can you imagine what college football would be like without instant replay? Without Penn State in the Big Ten? We might as well all kill ourselves, because life without Penn State would be worse.
