PG Aaron Craft (B1G 6th MOY '11, Def POY '12, Acad AA, Dolomiti En. TR - Italy)

Props to Craft for becoming the all-time Assists leader at OSU, breaking Jamar Butler's record. He is now OSU's career leader in steals and assists, and has a good shot of breaking the B1G record for steals if he keeps averaging 2 steals per game.

Congratulations to Aaron.

Also, not meant as a slight to Jamar, but it's odd to me he was the assist leader at Ohio State- I guess his scoring capability always stood out more to me as a guard. Never thought of him as assist leader.

After watching his leadership last night against Notre Dame in that comeback...if it's ten years from now and I have a medical emergency where he's practicing, I want THIS guy as my doctor. Man has ice in those veins.

He gonna play in the NBA a long long time. His leadership makes your roster, organization, and locker room better. His strip in the last 30 seconds just embodies his carrier. Dude is just a fucking bulldog.
Eric Snow played 14 seasons averaging 6.8 career PPG on 20% shooting from 3.

Think Aaron has a shot as well, if he wants it.

That strip was very scary...I think most guys get called for the reach there (or at least I would've).
But as far as the Craft in the NBA debate, I think he'd have to find the perfect fit for his skillset. The NBA (which I hate) is all about one on one and everyone will just back off of him and make him shoot.

Craft would work great in a team-oriented system (like San Antonio) - He'd also be an asset on a team like Cryami as a defender and distributor since Bitchwade's knees are done and LeBrick can't cover the other teams best player and their best secondary guys at the same time. He wouldn't start, but as a 6th or 7th guy he would probably work there too.

It really depends though - most NBA GMs aren't exactly the greatest talent evaluators

Sorry to pile on but it really isn't. The thing about the NBA is that the sets start in the NBA before the ball crosses half court because of the 24 second clock. They don't just stand around waiting for the ball to cross half court. Screens and movement are already happening. Miami runs a gorgeous set which can get James, Wade or Bosh involved with several secondary options. Our AAU team ran it last season when we ran into man defenses and it's tough to stop because of all of the options. It also helps if you have a guard that can post up, a big that can shoot the 3 and a secondary option who is a shooter.
