Post-Michigan Clarity/Longwood Notes and Announcement

Elise is on the verge of dipping into the 7lb range already. Seems having Jo on an IV for two full days made them both puffy.

Both are tearing through the "you can leave" checklist and Elise scored a 9 on some health check that has a name I can't remember. There hadn't been any gestational diabetes, or other risk factors during what turned out to be a pretty textbook pregnancy despite our, ah, advanced years, no fallout from the water having been broken for a full 24hrs, no signs of jaundice or infection. Looks like they may get home earlier than the typical 4 day wait after a C.

I plan to have Elise working on CS50X as soon as she gets home. This site desperately needs a capable coder so she's going to have to get right on that.

Jo and I both appreciate all the kind words and congrats, here and via FB.

You must make a promise to that child. First let me say welcome to the most important part of your life. This is why God put you on this earth. Now on to the important part, you must promise to never, never combine Christmas and birthday gifts! !
Seriously being a father is the most important, and trying, and rewarding job you will ever have. God bless and be patient it's a great journey.
