I went with Cardale. He has proven himself and succeeded against the three toughest teams all season. However, I'm not sure if his body will hold up with his tough running style. Cardale has an NFL caliber arm, and that deep threat opens up a lot more of the short stuff. JT will get plenty of playing time as the #2.

I feel kinda bad for Braxton, he's a tremendous athlete playing the position of QB, and injuries have certainly taken their toll.....however, when it comes to THROWING and quick decision making, he is obviously #3.

Who is the opening game starter...
I think I see where you're going with this. I can see Urban opening the VaTech game with Brax on the first possession simply to reward a senior who's given so much to the program and then bringing in JT or Cardale. By that definition of "Who is the opening game starter..." it could well be Brax before going to the the true #1.

Nope, that's wasn't really what I meant. I was just trying to clarify the intent of the bet. I think Meyer will start whom he feels is best, from the very first series against VT. He won't be playing around...

Just took a wild guess and went with Jones. I don't think Braxton's shoulder will be healthy enough for a full time gig at QB and I think the race between JT/Jones is going to be incredibly close. The plus side for Cardale is that he will have WAY more reps with the 1st team now after last season, being the only QB this spring, and presumably more reps in the summer. Plus he has yet to have any health issues. Just my 2 centavos.

Me personally after last year I really thought CJ would come out on top but after time away from last season I think JT will win it outright by the opening game. IMO why CJ was so effective was he had someone like Devin Smith to stretch the field and because of that teams really gave Zeke room to run more so. However now with no proven deep threat I think what will decide the position won't be who can bomb the ball down the field but rather who can get our weapons involved which IMO describes JT.

Side note, I too think Braxton will not play much at QB this year and will eventually sometime in Fall camp start taking reps at another position (mainly H). I think Braxton will be given packages particularly near the endzone where arm strength isn't as necessary. I'm not sure who gets the nod between JT or CJ but I do know that Braxton won't be much of a factor because there's just no way this team can afford to shake off rust in week 1. He will score a LOT for our buckeyes this fall but IMO most of it will be as a runner.

It would be a nice sentimental gesture...

Football games aren't won by sentiment however.

tOSU can win with all three but I'm going with Miller unless they are preparing him for another position in the NFL or he's not 100%. I may be wrong but I think Meyer said at one point, you can't take someone's spot due to an injury and Meyer has always been infatuated with Miller's athleticism and rightfully so. IMO, Miller, when on the field has always been the best athlete and game changer, just imagine what he could do with all those current weapons to work with...
