QB Craig Krenzel (B1G Champion, National Champion)

There was an article about that a while ago. Something to the effect that at this age, he didn't want to be in med school until he was 30 some years old.

med school is very complicated. he got his undergrad while in college but he would need at least 4 years of grad school and a minimum of 6-7 years of residency. its no walk in the park.

Neither is making the NFL after already being cut and then needing Tommy John surgery.
Med school? tough, but doable

NFL? impossible

That's pretty much what he intimated in the interview. Basically he would have 8 - 10 years of work left before being a doctor and he's already 25 or so, right? With a wife and kid, as well and knew that he wouldn't have much time to spend with them during that time.

Ex-Buckeye Krenzel wants 1 more pro shot

By MARK MONROE
BLADE SPORTS WRITER

"Football right now is on the back burner," Krenzel said. "I'm still rehabbing an elbow injury. It's going well. I should know in the next month or two. I want to see if there is interest and I want to try to give it one last chance."

Krenzel is currently selling commercial real estate in Columbus and is in business with another former Buckeye quarterback, Bobby Hoying.

Not sure the point of that stataement. He's using his brain...he's working in real estate... Hmmm....do you even need a college degree to be a real estate agent??

Krenzel still a good role model

CRAIG Krenzel would love to be in Brady Quinn's shoes. Actually, he would settle for carrying a clipboard and polishing Quinn's shoes, if the opportunity presented itself.

"It would be a great situation," the quarterback of Ohio State's 2002 national championship team said when asked, partly in jest, how he would feel about the Browns giving him a chance to revive his injury-shortened NFL career.

"They just got a guy (Quinn) they've paid millions of dollars for ... you know he's going to be the guy. I'd pretty much get paid to do nothing, and I'd be close to home, which would be great."
