QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

JT ends the season healthy and the unquestioned starter going into Spring football. Looking forward to watching him develop while leading the Buckeyes' offense in 2016.

Yeah, I guess there is something to the old adage:
"If You Have Two Quarterbacks, You Actually Have None."

The good news is that (probably) next year Notre Dame (not Ohio State) will have the two headed quarterback monster: (i.e. DeShone Kizer or Malik Zaire). And it wouldn't be surprising to hear that the one who gets beat out for the starting job plans to transfer.

Zaire will be going into his RS Jr season and Kizer his RS So season. Zaire will be trying to get out of there after next year leaving Kizer with a few years after that. It will be difficult but they could manage. Kizer could keep the job in which case Zaire will spend the year trying to get his job back and if he doesn't then grad transfer. Either way I think they are both on the team in 2016 with only 1 in 2017.

Just sayin': Since Zaire beat out Kizer this year, there is a decent chance that he'll beat him out in 2016 too. also, I'm thinking that Malik Zaire could get a medical redshirt for this year making him eligible to play in 2017 too. Anyway that's ND's problem.

copied from the Haskins thread
I was surprised Urban said in his last press conference that J.T. will be here for the next 2 years. Even if it's true, I would have thought he'd just say he's coming back next year. Haskins wants to play right away, like most kids, and I'm sure he doesn't want to sit for 2 years. I think he would have already committed if the depth chart was more to his liking.

Should have just lied like Dantonio did to Corley, telling him he's going to be playing both ways, which is hilarious.
where's he going to go?

If his passing stats can beat his 2014 numbers and he keeps showing growth in his decision making and reading defenders pre snap he could go early in the 2017 draft. He could do really well on a run first dink and dunk get the ball out quick offense. JT is a student of the game and that is huge.

Wilson's substantially more athletic and has a much livelier arm. I think JT has a small shot at the NFL, but he will not be a high draft pick and is unlikely to ever start.
I doubt think Wilson is more athletic than JT...I've seen JT make moves as sick as any Wilson has made. I'll concede that Wilson is a bit faster, though. I also don't think Wilson has a "much" livelier arm...

A lot more questionable QBs have started games. FFS the NFL goes through QBs like a crack addict and almost everyone gets a shot. His 2014 numbers compare decently to Bridgewater... not that I think he's a 1st rounder but he'll be drafted and get opportunities.
Why do people think he's got no chance at the NFL?
