Scout $ - Barrett On Buckeyes

4/18

By Hartigan....Loves the family atmosphere at OSU. Plans on visiting in the summer & then returning for an official visit. 100% committed to Ohio State and will enroll early.

Sounds like a great kid & love that he'll be enrolling early.

http://espn.go.com/blog/high-school/texas/post/_/id/935/elite-11-watch-rider-standout-j-t-barrett (from earlier in this thread)

This is why you gotta be excited about this kid:

J.T. Barrett considers himself a perfectionist.

So instead of basking in all his on-field accomplishments -- and there's plenty of them -- the Rider (Wichita Falls, Texas) junior quarterback chooses to engross himself in game film.

During the season, Barrett watched film twice a day, looking for all the mistakes he made.

And during this offseason, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect has worked out nearly every day with the hope of correcting those mistakes.

He doesn't just rest on his laurels, intangibles and God-given ability. He's a hard worker, strives to get better, and wants to lead his team to national championships. You've gotta love that about a player, especially one as important as your quarterback. Sounds like a fantastic fit for us and Coach Meyer.

Welcome to the Buckeye Family, JT!!

Bill Krulelic says he is the number one dual threat QB, something that can be seen in the free intro at this link:

http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Home/Football-Recruiting-141

This is quite a relief, ending my worry that we would not get a good QB.

The short squeeze may be coming, with highly players needing to verbal quickly before space is gone?

Here's hoping for another O-lineman to verbao, to protect J. T.

Here's hoping the J. T. can make it for spring ball next year.

J. T? I have heard those initials somewhere before.
