For Collier, the moment he got the offer, there was no doubt in his mind that he was going to take it on the spot.

"We'd already been in contact for a few months and when I visited I knew that's where I wanted to be," he added. "Why wait?"

Collier's relationship with Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman was another factor in his quick decision to choose the Buckeyes.

"He's an amazing coach," Collier said. "The best there is and it's going to be great to work with him throughout college."

Now Collier will turn from recruit to recruiter as the Buckeyes look to add some linemen and some offensive weapons around him in this class.

"Oh of course (I'm ready to recruit)," he said. "I'm going to go after the best."

Collier will participate in the Elite 11 quarterback camp next week in Beaverton, Oregon after earning an invite with an outstanding showing on the regional level.
