RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

I guess it depends on how much 7 or 8 spots in the draft will matter to Beanie bonus wise. They're considering him a "Top 10" pick right now, lets say he's 9th. Next season he not only has no backs to compare himself to, he's definitely the best back in the country, but he also wont have to worry about the Crabtree's, McCoy's, Harrell's or even Moreno or possibly Tebow. He'll most likely be #1 or #2 next season should he stay. Would it be worth it to him to stay one more year, try for the Heisman and grab the top spot or go for the guaranteed money this year. I'm selfish so I'd rather him stay and go for it but were I in the same boat it'd be a very difficult decision.

Harrell is a senior but the rest...I think Moreno is a RS Soph and is eligible to go pro after this year and Crabtree is a true soph so he will be back next year but it will prob be his last at texas tech.

That leaves Tebow (Jr.), who more than likely stays a fourth yr, McCoy who also is a Jr. and could stay too.

As much as it sucks for Buckeye fans that want him too stay, he's probably got his best opportunity to get max dollars by leaving this year. Especially if the four guys mentioned above also stay.

Crabtree is also a RS sophomore.

OSU's Wells a bruiser with speed

'Beanie' has excelled in his two victories against Michigan
Friday, November 21, 2008 BY KEVIN RYAN
The Ann Arbor News

Terrance Taylor feigned an incredulous look as he gripped the podium and responded to the question about Ohio State running back Chris "Beanie'' Wells and his big performances against Michigan.
With furrowed eyebrows, the University of Michigan defensive tackle sounded
almost like he was grinding his teeth as he spoke.
"The last couple of years? I wouldn't say all that,'' Taylor said. "(He) got a couple of good runs. That's it.''
Then the senior, all 308 pounds of him, straightened up and smiled.
"No, I'm joking. He's a good back.''
Good might be an understatement when it comes to describing Wells. Especially when he's mentioned in the context of the Michigan-Ohio State series.
It was his 52-yard touchdown run that put Ohio State ahead to stay in the epic 2006 showdown between the
No. 1-ranked Buckeyes and No. 2 Wolverines. Ohio State won, 42-39.

:slappy: a couple of good runs?

in 2 games vs scUM

Chris Wells 44 carries 278 yards 3 tds

that comes out to about 6.31 Yards Per Carry

which is pretty dominant

Thats even more amazing considering he played behind Pit the first year and the conditions last year... Beanie

a moment for his last game in the 'Shoe...

...ok
:oh:

With the weather the way it is, would not in the least be surprised if he goes over 200 yards again this year in The Game. The wolverines better have their chin straps buckled on.

If Beanie stays, that would be a dream come true ::cough::cough::HEISMAN::cough::. If not, we'll be alright. Danny Herron's shown a lot of promise with the handful of carries he's had this year and we have 3 good ones coming in to restock the shelves.
