RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

I didn't see this posted here, sorry if it already has been. 7 Heismans have been awarded to 6 players in the history of Ohio State Football. Will Beanie be the 7th? He's talked about his goals and this trophy with the stiff arm seems like it fits him so well already. Good luck Beanie. Bring it home again to :osu2:

I hate to burst your bubble, but it's spelled "trophies", not "trophys". Whoever posted this video might wanna change that. Also, you probably only need quotation marks around "Beanie", not "Beanie Wells" around the 1:20 mark.

Edit: Otherwise not a bad video.

Danzor123 did it. Maybe you could contact him with the edits you pointed out. Should have checked it better before posting it to Youtube.

I loved this from Buckeye Commentary about using Wells more with the Toss Sweep. The writer listed all the plays he would like to see more of in 2008. Each of these plays could involve Beanie more!

Link: Wednesday's List: Plays I Want to See in 2008 | Football |

Summary:

1. Screen Pass

2. Toss Sweep: Eddie George turned this play into an art form and Wells' skill set is remarkably similar to George's with his deceptive speed for a big guy. The Buckeyes started running this play more last year and I loved it every time. Beanie is a powerful inside runner but allowing him to get up to get a head of steam before encountering defenders makes him even more dangerous. His stiff arm allows him to break early tackles and hit full speed in the open field. We will certainly see it in 2008 but I can stand to see it have a larger role.

3. Rollout Pass

4. Direct Snap to Beanie

5. Wild Buck (aka Arkansas' Wild Hog)

I see the fear grow in your eyes
like gazing upon death
no structure known to man can stand up to his breath.

Feel the earth atrembling as he comes running through,
and feel the pressure in the air compressed and the rushing too.

Do not shake or weakness show for he will feast
be set and hold your stead .
Be strong as a lion and not as a mouse
as Beanie comes to tear down your house.

WOW this is dumb Oh MY!

Lantern: Wells at full strength spells danger for foes

Wells at full strength spells danger for foes

Zack Timmons

Issue date: 4/15/08 Section: Sports

If a sure bet exists for the Ohio State Buckeyes, look no further than running back Chris Wells.

After finishing with 1,609 yards, a sophomore record, and 15 touchdowns in 2007, Wells is living atop most Heisman watch lists heading into 2008.

"The way he runs so hard and the way he puts his body on the line, it is the sign of a person that can lead by example," running backs coach Dick Tressel said. "The fact that he is willing to want to contribute even when he is not 100 percent makes him special."

Wells admitted he played most of the 2007 season below 100 percent due to ankle and wrist injuries, the latter of which required off season surgery to repair.

He now feels he has returned to a state of normalcy with no bitterness in tow.

"I have learned to just to roll with it and to just deal with it and move on," Wells said. "It is just part of the game."

Considering the marks left by the Akron-Garfield product throughout last season, most opponents have to be cringing at the thought of facing Wells at full throttle.

cont'd...
