At this point in his career, I would contend that his trajectory is on par with Beanie and Eddie, minus the injuries and early fumbles. Plus his blocking is incredible. I don't know if he has the "wow" factor of those guys but he is every bit as effective it seems...don't get me wrong, he wows me sometimes but it just not on the same level as those guys in that category. Much like JT's running style versus Braxton's. Either way, give me 11 Elliott's on offense.

I am probably nitpicking too much, but there was one play when MSU blitzed 2 players from JT's blindside. He picked up the outside guy when he should've picked up the inside guy giving JT the ability to step in and make a play. JT was sacked during that play. Not taking anything away from his awesome performance yesterday, but he still has room to grow.

IMO, I don't see the Eddie comparison other than how they wear their jerseys. I don't recall Eddie catching the ball that much, and I don't remember EzE running upright, he seemed to be squaring his shoulder and leaning forward on his runs.

Agree to disagree. Not even Eddie literally ran straight up. For a rb, he did, and EZ reminds me of that.

Eddie had something like 50 receptions his senior year.

Like I said, Beanie was fun to watch. His stiff arm was a thing everyone in the Big Ten feared. His speed and ability to get to the secondary in a hurry was pretty wicked as well. But he also had a bit of a fumbling issue early on his career, that I just haven't seen from EZE. EZ's ability to see the running lane he wants to hit, and how he gets there is nasty. Another year or two with this program will only make him an even more explosive weapon. He also has catching ability that Beanie simply didn't have.

I'm not saying this as a knock on any of the former players, this is a testament to how good EZE has already become.
