The best part is they won't have their current issues fixed untill 2-3 years after Carr's gone at best. Whenever they finally run Carr off it will take the new HC at least 2 years of recruiting to fix the overall lack of players who can play in space. If they get another "M**higan man" to take over and he's Bo v3.0, then they will continue to suffer.

I know there is a lot of talk about how stacked scUM will be next year with dumb and dumber returning etc..but that defense will be absolutely wretched. Take away the heart of their front 7 and best cover guy and what do they have? I don't care what freshmen they get or how good they are, they'll still be freshmen.Also every coach they play has the blueprint on how to beat them now, no questions asked.

Their offense looks good on paper next year but you know Carr will put the reigns on it. Any team that can stop the run, has at least 1 good DB to put on MM and has a decent passing offense of their own is a candidate to beat scUM in 2007. Do we know any teams that might fit that bill by next November?

USC certainly had a nice win last night over a Michigan squad that went into a meltdown after spewing attitude in press clippings. However, it comes as no suprise to me that there are still USC fans out there still hoping that they can get a piece of the CFB National Title this year:

This, to me, isnt any different than what they did to LSU. For some reason USC fans like to dictate when and who choses the national champ. IMO, The BCS sets up the National Championship game, and has done so since the late 90's. Sorry, but this obviously takes the AP polls weight away. Therefore, the champ HAS to be OSU or Florida this year, reguardless of what the AP says....

But then again, what can you expect from a fan base that also claims the officials did a "GREAT job" last night (even though they blew in on 3 DJ unsportsmanlikes):

We will be top 3-4 but Boise State deserves a split title if Florida wins.

They went undefeated and beat Oregon State which elimates us instantly. We will be back next year but Boise State should be split Champs if Florida wins, based on the idea that BSU is probably better than Florida.


Let's recap: 1 Trojan who asks if there is a chance for a split. 6 Trojans say no. And yet we get a post saying that Trojan fans think they have a chance at a split.

Apparently you did not read the appendix to the BCS contract which states that, and I quote, "The winner of the BCS national championship game shall be crowned the BCS national champion, unless Mike Hart states that they do not possess the strongest defense he has faced."

On a more serious note, I think methomps raises a legitimate point in suggesting that one guy's opinion should not be attributed to an entire group of people who are only similar to him in cheering for the same football team.

Yep... we as Buckeye fans hate it when there are sweeping generalizations about our fanbase therefore we shouldn't do the same thing to others. Do the research (in this case read the thread) before making those statements.

This courtesy rule does not apply to scUM or NoD. :wink:
