Seantrel Henderson (Buffalo Bills)

Never said that it was a direct quote. But it was a heck of a lot closer to a direct quote than it was a paraphrase. Subtle differences aside, it's still telling that Henderson listed five non-UM schools, no?

You don't know that though. Henderson could've rattled off 20 schools for all we know and the writer just published those few. Those are the biggest names in college football right now so it would make sense.

union is usually really accurate. Trust him before you trust a South Carolina newspaper.

Everything you wrote is speculation.

No doubt he's usually accurate. I just don't see Henderson going to UM, and this article supports that.

I don't think the article supports that at all.

The article is too vague to make that assumption. I see nothing in there that suggests those are truly his top schools or that UM isn't still a strong contender for his services.

The author might have a slant...certainly we (you) do when assuming that no mention of UM by the author (and the source is the key) indicates the Wolvs are out of it.

There is no clarification/qualification of that list so there is no reason to believe it is complete or even necessarily representative of Henderson's favorite programs at this time. It is too generic to really determine what that list means, if it means anything at all about where he is headed. It is just a sampling of the offers he has in front of him.

He very well may not end up at UM..but that article does nothing to confirm or deny that IMO.

You don't? Really? He lists several offers that stand out, and UM isn't one of them. That doesn't suggest what his top schools are in your opinion? Does he have to say the specific words, "My top schools are..." before you know what his top schools are? If so, you're taking semantics to a whole new level. Rarely are things so black and white.

so you're just listening to things that are supporting your theory.

No, I'm paying attention to a source that was posted by someone else. Contrary to the picture you're trying to paint, I didn't scour the internet to find an article in which UM is not mentioned.

newspapers are notoriously awful at recruiting news. union is pretty much the exact opposite.

No argument here. But we'll see where Henderson ends up. I really doubt it will be at UM.

1) It's not a quote.

2) How long has it been since OSU was mentioned as 'sticking out' for Seantrel? That also makes the article a bit questionable.

3) As already discussed, the third sentence in the article is just flat out false
He has not visited anywhere yet and said all of his visits will be in July and August.
He's been to UM, MSU, Minn & Iowa. That lessens the credibility of the rest of the article. Furthermore, he's selling this trip to SC as a notable trip since he hasn't been anywhere else. It takes about 5 minutes (or less) of research on google to realize that's false.

4) Kids simply say things to reporters, particularly to random ones that they don't know. They get flooded with calls and interviews from people they don't want to talk to, and as a result will often tell people what they want to hear.

I didn't say you scoured the internet looking for something to support your theory. I just said you're only listening to the one that does.

I don't want him to end up at michigan any more than you. The kid is good. But union's post is a little concerning for people like me who would rather see him at Minny or USC. 1 newspaper article with some false "facts" isn't helping that concern one bit for me.

Right now there's three scenarios for SH

1) He goes to USC, because that's where he wanted to go for the longest time, but it appears a little bit of a dream at this point, how will his family see him play, his friends you get the picture.

2) He goes to Michigan, which makes a lot more sense in terms of reality of being around friends and family, he really likes the campus, and his position coach.

3) He goes to Minny because he'll be a hometown hero no matter if he succeeds or not.

It makes sense he goes to Michigan like I said, however I could see him going to Minny too because recruiting can be weird. Like I said recruiting makes no sense and he could do a Ronald Johnson and end up in Los Angeles which wouldn't surprise me at all. Or finally maybe he makes a visit to Columbus and he has unbelievable time and thinks JT is Jesus in a sweater vest, who knows it's early. Being the leader now, means everyone negatively recruits you for eight months.

One thing for sure he ain't going to South Carolina or anywhere in the south.

Dude, you're taking one article with factual errors as proof of him not being interesyed and ignoring the multiple articles that list um as a favorite.

Don't think we are in the lead anymore union hearing that USC is the clear leader with Michigan his second choice.

He's got so many visits still I don't get the feeling he's got a "real" leader, though articles and quotes might indicate so. I think he really likes certain schools more than others, but there's still so much more he's going to take in. Big shocker USC is named...
