Just joined today!

I am arguably Akron's biggest Buckeye fan. :wink2:

Very in tune with the high school football and basketball scene here around Akron and have many contacts at my disposal regarding info on kids with whom the Buckeyes may have an interest in and vice versa.

I'll never post garbage or innuendo so if I don't have the facts to back it up I won't post it. I'll try to save personal opinions for pm's.

Looking forward to hanging out and hopefully bringing a little something to the boards when I can!

Ph.D student at Ohio State, graduated from Michigan State with a degree in Chemical Physics.

Besides the whole 1998 and 1974 "we ruined your national championship" thing, I don't understand all this hatred for the ENTIRE State of Michigan.
Can't speak for everyone but I always kinda liked Sparty, just not that other team up there.

Hi everyone!
Oregon fan here. Mililani Buckeye, I lived in Mililani (locals called it Mililani Town then) when I was stationed at Wheeler AFB in the late 70's. I worked for a company headquartered in Columbus, made several trips there and even interviewed for a job there in 1989, so I know a little about your city. I attended an OSU-Iowa BB game one time when I was there, an OSU win (Redd was your "player"). I'm hoping to visit here a lot in the coming weeks and I'm really looking forward to the Rose Bowl. It should be fun.
Thanks for having me...

Hey guys,

I'm a 2009 high school grad from NY who is applying to TOSU after an unfortunate medical discharge from the Marine Corps while in recruit training. Grandfather went to the university and loved it and was religious about the team, I've always been a fan of the Buckeyes, so I have a lot of warm feelings for the school and figured I would apply for the 2010 fall semester. I hope I am accepted... Pretty sure I'll get in. My GPA is below average for the school but my SAT is top 20%, according to the Princeton Review.

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome. Its a breath of fresh air to get in to the granddaddy of them all. I have been a Duck fan since 68 when dad took me to Autzen for the first time. We did not play good ball then but I loved the webfoots ever since. It should be fun for your Buck nation to play us. We are a not so conventional program and hard to get a feel for us. So its easy to pass us off as shallow band wagon fans who bought in to the Uniforms and nike money. But I can assure you we are deep in commitment as well as the bucks and will bring it on Jan 1. We love our Ducks and am looking forward to the great takes on the upcomming game. Thanks for allowing me in and I welcome you to the Duck pond as well.
