For those in the western Ohio / Mercer, Darke Cty. area or interested in driving over for a bit of OSU fun, food, and adult beverage:

I've just been told that the 2006 St. Henry Stag night will be held Saturday Feb. 18th @ 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale at the St. Henry High School Jan. 25th @ 7:30 p.m. (they usually don't last too long). Tickets are $65 per person or you can reserve a table of 8 for $640 (kind of "front & center" of the action so to speak).

I've been twice and had an absolute blast both times. Hope to make it this year as well. The night consists of good food, lots of beer (all you can drink with the price of admission) and some of our beloved Buckeyes (both past and present. Last year Todd Boeckman, Bobby C., Justin Zwick, Tony Gonzo, Nick Mangold (if I remember correctly), and Sidney, OH product Jordan Hoewischer....Mike Vrable and the Hoying brothers (who are usually there) couldn't make it last year, but promised via telephone that they'd be there this year.

The players sign autographs, take pictures with you if you want. They "interview" all the current Buckeye players in a not so formal / fun way, and have a sports memorabilia auction after dinner. It's a great event.

Thought I'd share...it's things like this that keep me going until Spring practice. :cheers:

I'll be there again this year.

Don't forget about Brandon Schnittker, Jim Lachey, Mike Tomczak and Matt Calhoun. They were all there last year as well. Tomczak is hilarious. I talked to him for 15-20 minutes.

Tomczak is a heck of a guy... I ran into him in the bathroom at The Buckeye Cafe a few years ago... I waited until we were back outside before I engaged him in conversation :lol: .. nice guy who's always willing to chat for a few minutes.

As always, the list can change last minute (and probably will) with additions and cancelations, but as of right now I'm told we can expect:

Current Buckeyes
Kirk Barton
Doug Datish
Quinn Pitcock
"Lil Animal" James Lauranitis


Mike Vrabel has also said he would be there, and I'm just assuming that the regulars like the Hoying Bros., Mike Tomczak, Lachey, Todd Boeckman and probably Jordan Hoewisher make it.

There will probably be at least a last minute addition or two for the current Bucks coming. The bus usually grabs someone hanging around campus tha didn't exactly "plan" their weekend in St. Henry, OH. I was told this was the case for Bobby Carpenter last year.

Zwick and Gonzo seemed to have a good time last year. Maybe they show up again??? But anyway, that's who's been "confirmed" as coming to this point...can't wait!! :biggrin: :osu:

I am pretty sure he's nothing more than 100% bullshit, but, if he isn't, goddam I would love to see that little fucker on Saturday night. I would love to beat every drop of snot from his whiny-ass face.

Let him start talking about Gonzo's (or any other player's) mom, he'd be drug outside and given the beating of a lifetime. The players wouldn't have to lift a finger.

Just got back from Stag Night...what a blast (once again). Vrabel was insane :biggrin: and along with both Hoying bros. and Matt Finkes. The current Buckeys there were all very cool (Boeckman, Hoewischer, Datish, Rehring, Barton, Nichol, & Pitcock). And I was a little shocked and now even more pumped at how excited the current players are to add Chris Wells to the team (more than one of them mentioned his name several times when being interviewed).

Great event as usual! :osu:
