T/F Aaron Johnson (Ohio State track)

Maybe I'm thinking to much into this but maybe he didn't play at the school he lists. After Hurricane Katrina a lot of people were displaced all over the state. I think he is a legit prospect. You don't list tOSU as giving you an offer if they haven't given you one.

See Josh Chischester from last year - he even "committed" to tOSU, but apparently never had a written offer in hand. I think kids claim offers based on discussion (or even just to spur interest from schools). I'm not saying that's the case in this instance, but I think it's not that rare.

By Mike Wachsman...great article about Aaron. Camped at OSU last summer and is anxious to get back this summer. Has offers from OSU and Auburn. He plans to decide right after football season.

When is the last time LSU offered anyone in Ohio-or got mentioned by a 4/5 star recruit from here? USC and the Florida schools recruit here, and Auburn signed Tilly, but I can't remmeber LSU ever doing anything.

love how quick everyone is to jump to grad's defense. he has you all under his control...

all I'm saying is that while it is rare for us to go down to Louisiana to offer a kid who has not been offered by LSU, it is equally rare for LSU to come into Ohio and offer a kid that OSU has not offered.

according to Scout, LSU offered Smith, Boren, Tilley and Mixon last year, Alex Daniels and Schoenhoft in 2005 and Braxton in 2004.

I agree, they are both talent rich states in terms of high level talent but not the overall depth of some other states like Texas, Cali, and Florida where teams like LSU and tOSU try and pick up the rest of their players, or from surrounding states. It just not logical for tOSU to go try and pick up gets from LA unless they show a great deal of interest.
