17 Students Arrested in TCU Drug Bust

Students said to be selling pot, cocaine, acid, prescription drugs



...Investigators have not yet released the names of those arrested Wednesday, but did say those implicated were all current students and included at least one member of the TCU football team and at least one member of a fraternity.


TCU Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. said this is not a football problem, but a student problem...

I was surprised to find out that some of my high school friends drop on a regular basis now. So I guess it does have a subculture in college. But it's not called acid anymore, the cool kids call it "paper."

UPDATE: The names of the football players have been released. Senior linebacker Tanner Brock, senior defensive tackle D.J. Yendrey, offensive tackle Ty Horn, and senior safety Devin Johnson were among the 17 students arrested Wednesday morning.

All four players have reportedly been dismissed from the team.

Brock was the Horned Frogs leading tackler in 2010 before his 2011 campaign was cut short due to a season-ending injury. Yendrey was an MWC All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2010 and 2011, while Johnson was expected to start for the Horned Frogs defense in the upcoming season.

Seventeen TCU students have been arrested as a result of a six-month investigation into drug related activity on campus on Wednesday. According to police and school officials, four of those students are Horned Frog football players.

"All of those arrested are drug dealers," TCU Police Chief Steven McGee said at a news conference on Wednesday morning.

Forget the story about the TCU players, Ian Fitzsimmons is in Dallas?

Probably the last time WBNS radio had a decent line-up was when he was with Herbie (and probably the last time I listened to that station w/ any regularity).
