TE Marcus Baugh (Birmingham Stallions)

Baugh do you "WANT" to play ..
I suspect he does, as soon as this suspension (dating to an incident eight months ago) is completed.

It's one thing to support discipline on the team, something I suspect we all do. It's quite another to pile onto a kid, assuming the worst regarding his recent behavior (which apparently has FA to do with this suspension). These kids have a microscope trained onto their behavior. Most of us would not do so well under the same level of scrutiny.

I didn't suspend him Urban did. He had to know he was facing a suspension when he broke the rules a second time. Will he make it to the field...I hate when an opportunity is wasted.

Right, the current suspension is because of an incident in January. Which we all knew about already. Apparently one of the opportunities you hate to see wasted is the one to complain about misbehaving young men on the Buckeyes' football team.

Since Baugh's suspension is over after the VT game, I expect Game 3 against Kent State is when we'll start seeing him on the field.

I wouldn't bet on it.

IF the suspension was from the January incident, and IF Marcus has been doing everything asked of him and more since then, I certainly hope he sees the field against Kent State. If he has spent the last 8 months correcting previously poor behavior, positive reinforcement (such as getting in the game in what hopefully should be a lopsided contest) would be a good thing.

I think a TOSU scholarship is a highly valuable commodity that Baugh was given and it has not paid off for the University..other young men could have had that ship and used it better for the team, school, and student. Its more about the waste of a valuable resource. I agree the event in January does not seem that outrageous for a college student but it was enough for Meyer to take the privilege away from the young man. I want Baugh on the fielding contributing.

This year is definitely make or break for Marcus. His opportunity is now with Noah Brown definitively not a TE and Heureman leaving. We use a lot of 2 TE sets and he will be called on to contribute without a doubt...we have nobody else except Alexander and Berry (maybe a DE) coming in as true freshman who are very raw and likely unable to come in and play right away. But from what I have seen on the practice videos, Baugh has been making some big plays so as long as he has physically developed and can block on the edge, he should be primed for a good year.
